Some may remember I was not happy with the fit of the rear window on my coupe. I could not get the window trim to fit properly - the glass seemed to sit up too high. After trying various methods suggested here to compress the sealer, I gave up. Drove the car and that was it.
Last night I...
Thanks for everybody's input. Called Comcast and got a good person in tech support. He walked me through checking various things - came down to security levely. I softened up slightly and BINGO - back in business.
Thanks again.
Steve
Thanks for the interest. I am no computer brain but here are some issues I note. When I enter the CAC website I get red 'X's' the the blocks noted as 'The ultimate online...', 'Corvette jigsaw Puzzel' and when I enter the C1 - C2 forum the 'Post New Thread" and all avatars are just blank...
I know this probably does not belong here BUT, just switched to comcast internet service and I get mostly red 'x's' instead of pictures. Service guy at Comcast said I probably do not have up to date adobe flash player. Computer is brand new. What am I missing.

Joe - also agree with the grind the 'V' method. I had several similar cracks to deal with and resin and mat are the way to go. I have had no significant issues since the paint job with the cracks. Maybe the tire ripping part of the fender but, no problems with the cracks.

Kinda sounds like that country song where the wife says to the husband, "if you go fishin' again - I'm out a here". He says, 'I'm sure gonna miss her".
Kid - Nice mess they made in the CRv. Those little pieces of glass are so hard to get out of everything. Sorry for another problem you don't need.

OK - here's the update. Actually didn't drop the pan until Saturday. Didn't find any overly significant debris in the trans fluid. A drain plug would be nice though. Did find that the bolt holding the filter in place had backed out and had actually dented the pan. The filter was dirty so I...
After the 2 1/2 hour trip home (that should only take 1 hour) I could have used a drink. On one of my numerous stops on the side of the road, in not the best place, a car comes up behind me with about 4 people inside. I am thinking, this is not good. Out pops my wife's sister and and family...
Paul - thanks for the opinion. Father-in-law was also thinking filter. By the way, only about 1,000 miles since the rebuild - but the rebuild was about 15 years ago. Looks like I will be dropping the pan Friday and checking that out before I pull the trans.
Thanks for the reply - hope all is...
WOW - only at 35#! HeliCoil should work OK. Give Dewey a call, he might have a suggestion - I am sure it will cost money. Took me 2 1/2 hours to get home. The trans would disengage every 2 to 3 miles. No fun. Dewey just called me - he picked up another trans so we might just build another...
Was returning from Kid's Ocean City estate on Saturday after working with VNV and him on his blower install and my Turbo 400 kept disengaging. Every couple of miles I would have to pull it over and 'rest' for a few minutes. Then it would run fine for a couple more miles and then disengage...
Similar response as Barry except that I bought only 1 piece of winshield trim new. Pretty sure it was Paragon - I don't keep receipts because I don't want to know or leave evidence around the house. The piece was disposed of as it just wouldn't work. I polished and 'massaged' the originals to...
Kid - been thinking about doing mine this winter. Let me know if you want to tackle it, or send it out. I am leaning to sending it out. I have all the tools also, but was thinking about letting a pro do it. Corvette Steering has been recommended for all the parts.

Gator05 - I will let you know what happens. Also, I like the idea of a coil-over. My father-in-law built a set for his C3 Corvette and they work great. I think he used 500 lb spings and can adjust the front end anywhere he wants. I would prefer an off the shelf item that could be easily...
Last night I first took measurements on the chassis from side to side and as best as I could do was to determine the rails were within 1/16. Then I adjusted up the rear spring until I got the most height out of the front - about 25 1/2" on both sides. The rear also ended up between 25 1/2 and...
Thanks
GMjunkie - I know when adjusting the ride heights on my Busch car jacking the springs arround would always affect the opposite side. So putting more height in the left rear will put more weight on the right front and less on the left front? Another guy on the team always did the set...
OK - for those that don't remember, front ride hight on my 66 coupe left side seemd too low especially when the tire impacted the fender lip on a left hand turn and tore off a piece of the fiberglas fender lip. Front coil springs were Vette Brakes products from about 10 - 12 years ago...
