The above info From John Z is the Gosppel. John was around and worked as an Engineer for GM atthe time of the Midyear Corvette. He's advice is allways Right on.
Now..I hope his head can still fit thru the door..;LOL
Here's a link to Barry K's web page who has stored much helful info for the Corvette Hobbist. Here's a link to gauge's.. This should help..

Good Luck:beer Thanks Barry.. You Da Man:thumb
Some of the streets around here are low noise little tree lined places. I use these streets alot and the peeps sit out on there porches. They know who I am and where I live.
Blasting loud pipes is a no no around here. I try to be stealthy when I go by ..but sometimes I still get the evil eye...
Oh..Mr. I can't drive my Vette anywhere unless I mix ROCKET FUEL wih 94 Octane because my Motor has ..like 24:1 compression Ratio. And then I squeeze all that HP and pressure thru GM Stock Teeny Weeny 1 5/8 " internal baffle Side Pipes and the Motor goes Put Put Put. ;LOL
And...I do have...
Yeah This is true.. But I don't have to pull the tube of the hearders to make them loud.:D
Like this...

Look Ma...no tubes...that's how I get as loud as VNV
You Got Big Gay Baffles inside those 4 " Tubes..No way are They as Loud as the Sweet Thunder...Yeah Insurance paid up and me gots new ear plugs.... LIke you.... Ear Plug Boy...;LOL
I have a set of Sweet Thunder Side Stainless Steel pipes on my 65. They are the 2 1/4 " internal Baffel Type. They were purchased with out the front section or the pipe that follows the side cover forward curve towards the exhaust manifold. In other words, just a straight section of Chambered...

As Mr "Z" has stated, they will leave you on the side of the raod ..but in my case it wasn't waiting for a replacement part but "AAA". It was 13 degrees outside on an empty road with no store to wait in to get warm.
Luckily I had my cell phone to call. "AAA" was 10 min from where I broke...
Hey no problem... Gas will be at least $8.00 a gallon by then.. You fill my tank and you can Donut the 502 in Rillo's all you want.... That should be about 5 min till the "Barry Grant Carb" Double Pumper Toilet empties the Gas Tank..
;LOL
My solution using the GMPP ZZ502 motor which does not come with a mechanical fuel pump boss was to install the pump on the frame up inside the lower rear fender. This seemed safer to me then under the rear of the vette in case of a rear ender.
I think Pick # 3 shows a roll of TP stuck up in...
You could do a "Fim Strip" ICON layout ..you know a pic of a "Radiator" indicating all Cooling relate articals etc.. And so on. But either way it's still great to have all that info there. I have used it many a time over the past year.
They should make it a Sticky on top of this Board.
