    trans swap

I'm not trying to rain on your parade but you may be swapping out more T-5's than you think. I have exploded like 5 of these things in various mustangs. 2 with stock 225 HP 300 FTLBS engines. Ive built several in the garage. Third gear is CAST metal. THe teeth fly off this thing with a single...

    fresh air for 92

If you want more cool air, why not just buy a used air cleaner lid and cut the top ? :beer

    lucas water weter

ok , what is it ? How does it work ? I'm not a physics genius but I don't understand how an additive can make an engine run cooler. :confused I have seen some guys run this stuff in drag cars, but I thought it was just for cooling system lubrication purposes.

Steering Noise ? Rack issue ?

anybody ? Maybe my description of the issue is a bit off. THe feeling is more like a POP when you turn. It only does it when turned off center. Any ideas ? Surely someone has experienced this before :beer

Steering Noise ? Rack issue ?

I took my 1995 out today to wash it and noticed a distinct clicking in the steering wheel. The click only happend when the wheel was turned off center. So when going straight and the slightest turn or correction is made, the initial turn of the steering wheel results in a "click". I could feel...

    Question: Chassis Lowering?

I think it looks cool as well. However, my '95 vette scrapes coming out of my driveway, I couldn't imagine what it would be like to lower it an inch or 2. Also, think about this. I can barely get the car on a lift in stock form. How will the tire and brake shops get the car in air ...

Masking a Paint Blemish on Bumper Surface??

I had a gouge or cut or whatever on the front bumper of mine. The cut had a lip of sorts that had to be trimmed with a razor blade. I then sanded the area down ( ONLY the cut and not he surrounding paint). I primered it 3 times to build up the cut a bit. Sanded again. Painted with touch...

    Cat Piss (not a joke)

Try Ammonia to remove the initial smell. It works well on carpets. Also, if a cat were to pee on my vette , well ... he or she may come up missing in the next few days :confused

    Removing stickers from fiberglas

Ive used WD 40 many many times to remove stickers on used cars. Go SLOW and do it in 1\2 inch sections as that is about as far as the wd 40 seeps under the sticker. IF possible peel the edge up on top, spray it and let it set a few minutes. peel and spray , peel and spray :beer and maybe...

    DIC Panel Missing

My advice is to get a field service manual and start going through each ""system" Brakes, cooling, engine etc. I would go to the local parts store if possible and have them pull the error codes from the computer. Technical know how is gained by doing. If you have basic knowledge, the FSM...

    Help! Troubleshooting help needed!

I would check fuel pressure first as mentioned earlier. My '95 LT-1 runs at 40 PSI at idle. If the fuel is not an issue, check the coil and coil wire for green crusty connections. Your description of " shut off immediately" tends to make me lean towards a spark issue. Good luck ...

could all four of my rims be bent!?!?!

If nothing else works and you just can’t seem to get them balanced... Check and make sure the guy changing the original tires at the first shop did not bend them while trying to remove the old tires or mount the new one. IF he did, it will be on the backside most likely with gouge marks...

Question: vibration at 4000 rpms flywheel fix

I think your flywheel may need rebalancing to match the original balance of the dual mass flywheel. The prices quoted are very close to cost. Your buddy was not trying to rip you off I don't think. I would contact the manufacturer of the flywheel and check with them.
