Looking for one or two 15x8 rally rims

Bought some - no longer need these. Thanks for looking

    more crack smokers on ebay

This is interesting - I would like to know how the front emblem disappeared if it has not been in any wrecks. Maybe this was a factory delete option.

Back to the Track (with side pipes)

I think the foot you are referring to is "rollout". Your time starts when the tire clears the staging beam. People who deep stage give up that foot of rollout and put the tire where just a slight movement will start the timer. The amount of rollout you have is dependent on the diameter of...

Critters living in or on your C3

You have to wonder how they got in? I know someone who had problems with chipmunks or something chewing on wires under the hood. On my Camaro some rodents took it upon themselves to build a nest in the exhaust pipe using pink insulation (I do not drive it in winter). I had no idea they were...

Critters living in or on your C3

I found four mud wasp nests so far, two attached to the upper control arm, one on the crossmember and one on the transmission near the tranny lines. All were old and no longer active. There was evidence of paper wasp nests in the doorjamb and just in front of the headlights also. I wondered...

    1974 Corvette Coupe 6,700 Miles

I hate to nitpick, because you ave done a thorough job describing this car. But I have to ask: what happened to the original valve covers?

    Proportioning valve

This is a good point - thanks. I have seen cracks in tranny lines before (in the seat area near the nut where it is secured to the radiator) but hadn't thought of this. Maybe I will take the lines out of the master cylinder and plug the master cylinder to minimize the mess. Probably would not...

    L81 Seat Belt & Retractors

I was reading your other thread where I think you indicated it was a safety inspection issue, and wasn't sure if they would allow any other years parts. Does this mean if the manufacturer did not change the part between model years then different years parts can be used?

    L81 Seat Belt & Retractors

This has to be from a 1981 right? I do not have a set but can certainly keep my eyes open for some at local swap meets.

74bigblock and steelblue75 - How much do you need to ship these to me in zip code 44281? Thanks

Hookers pitting after only 2 seasons

Bad press for Hooker? I would send a letter and some pictures to the manufacturer and the retailer where you bought them. See if they expect this type of condition to happen after only two years. I have to assume the car is probably almost never wet or dirty. How can they expect you to keep...

    Seat belt loop/anchor

This sounds the same as mine. Black/faded will work fine. Maybe I can get lucky and get them to a point where the retractors are working well (I will assume I can't). If not then I can always take the part I need off one and install it on a 4th gen Camaro belt like I did for the driver side.

    Seat belt loop/anchor

When you get to checking, see if it has a retractor in the back, one on the floor under the seat, a single buckle that both the lap and shoulder belt are attached to, and the loop/anshor on the shoulder belt? Are these parts only or are they in working condition and what is the color? Thanks

    Seat belt loop/anchor

In my 75 coupe the seat belt is connected to the b pillar by a short piece of seat belt material. This piece has a triangular piece of metal on one end and metal loop on the other end. I need one of these for the passenger side, as it is missing on my car. This part is permanently attached...

    75 Tach Problem

Mine does the same thing. I have been busy with other higher priority repairs and have not had a chance to figure out what is wrong. I am guessing this is why you can buy rebuild kits for the electronics of the tach.

Something about it that just ain't natural! And to think you were concerned about a little thing like changing the color of the car.:)

Is this one worse? Check it out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevrolet-Corvette-stingray-Stingray-1976-Race-Car-Ford-460-Engine-500-HP-Runs_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6168QQitemZ4565710623QQrdZ1

I am trying not to cry :-(

Yes. I have the same problem in my Trans Am. Some prior owner preferred black over light blue and painted all the interior plastic trim pieces black. They are also very susceptible to the paint coming off. I can't say all repaints/redyes are bad, but those I have owned have not turned out too...

    Decaying Seat Belts

I think you might want to try to find out what material is in the seat belt. Depending on what it is you can get an idea how long before it starts breaking down. I would say that the conditions the belt was put under (exposure to moisture, sunlight, other chemicals) would also factor into it.
