My shocks are and have been leaking and now it rides with rear end sideslip.
2007, stock.
56K miles.
Just put brand new tires on it, alignment, and brakes.
Does anyone have an FSM with the R&R of these shocks?
Anyone else have problems with them? Did you know GM is VERY proud of their...
That's funny...
I bought TWO Vettes at Maxie Price and I have never had one bit of trouble. I live about 60 miles from them. Everyone has always been respectful and when I needed something they bent over backwards to make it right. I have never had one issue with them. When I bought my 07...
They mount the tire and fill it with nitrogen.
And, I only have 30 years of aircraft maintenance experience with all my licenses and schools I've been to. So yeah, I guess I don't know what I'm talking about.
Ask Boeing if you don't believe me.
Nitrogen. Well they use it in aircraft tires for ONE reason. Fires.
As a plane rolls down the runway on takeoff if there's a brake stuck it may cause hot brakes. Then when the gear is sucked into the fuselage the brakes can get so hot they can cause the tire to explode and cause a fire.

Today I decided to do some brake work. This what I did and the result.
I removed all four calipers and cleaned and painted them red with that red ceramic paint, looks SWEET!
Removed the front rotors and used a liquid rust remover and then cleaned them up and painted them silver with 1000...
Thanks. I finally found one for $60. But that's too much. So I might use a little super glue, a little fiberglass, and a little aircraft ingenuity to repair it. I might even replace the cheesy hinge with metal.
:upthumbs
Today I decided to look in my driver's side visor mirror which is lighted. When I opened it the right plastic hinge broke. So now it's loose which means the light could stay on. I have the pieces and can try to fix it but does anyone know where I could get just that cover for the mirror? The...
I have State Farm. Have had them for 34 years. In November I wrecked my 04 Vette. First wreck ever. They totaled it and gave me a check for 2 grand in equity in it. I had only owned it 7 1/2 months.
They have always been good to me.
My friend's 91's hood is stuck closed. When we went to try to open it the cable broke off the handle. It was opening on the driver's side and not the passenger's but now the handle is totally inop.
Anyone know an easy way to open the hood? Is there a special tool or procedure?
Thanks.
Hi John and Tuna.
John, I bought Michelin Pro Pilot Sports A+ ZPs.
I had the dealer do it for me. Didn't charge a thing.
Happy new year.
We have a ton of snow here in Atlanta :ugh
OK, so lemme get this straight.
There is a possibility that when the tires were installed that the rear rims MIGHT have been swapped. And because of this it will need a calibration? No NEW sensors were installed.
Thanks for your response and have a great 2011.
