    Need Help Badly!

Amazing! Once again I am amazed at the depth and breadth of the helpful information available on the forum. I have read a little lately on the TPI in both Lingenfelter's book and there is a current series on it in Chevy High Tech Performance magazine. I don't think there is a thing wrong with...

    dash kit or restore.

Just bumping I think I've seen a thread or two about restoring the dash pieces on 84-90s. The finish isn't smooth painted and it is a process. Try a search. The dash on the 91 and laters is different though.

    Learned something this weekend

Thanks for Sharing It's great when it's something simple instead of an R & R! I am sure the local transmission shop would have troubleshot the same thing, passed on a rebuild and sent you on your merry way!;) Also, thanks for the link to the article. Printed and placed in my binder.

Silver Stripes and Golden Needles? Agghhh!:ugh My secret is out! Silver is my color of choice for stripes on dark red metallic.

    C4's with racing stripes photos

Yikes Stripes! When I eventually repaint, I have already decided on twin stripes like on the "Orange C4" or Ken's silver beast, hood only. Subtle, not a high contrast color. I think the contours of the hood demand them!

    Orange 84 - Pics Posted

Just gorgeous! Great color and I think the contours of the hood on these cars justs BEGS for stripes! Well Done!

Do you REALLY want an aftermarket stereo?

I just this weekend had the the Bose system replaced with aftermarket bought and installed at Quality Autosound. I too made it clear up front that she was my baby and stayed at the shop for the duration, checking on them in the back during the installation. The kid took his time, removed the old...

    more bose grief

Just had an aftermarket system installed this weekend. Kenwood head unit, Alpine amp behind the driver's seat. Alpine 6 X 9s in the rear and Boston Acoustics 4 inchers in the doors. Not cheap but WAY better than the old Bose system. I'm sure it was fantastic in it's day but no comparison to...

Need advice... rebuild, patch or junk it...

You lost a nut inside a cylinder doing an intake manifold job and yet you are now contemplating a DIY engine rebuild? Interesting.

    200 Miles of C4 Fun

Vette on yourself brother Tlong! I am always looking for excuses to take a road trip and use the back roads. My vette is the best therapy I could get!

    Just got my first vette....:)

Don't be alarmed as your face changes shape in the mirror. That's just muscle development resulting from the permanent grin on your face!

    Air Conditioning kits...?

Just to be completely accurate The compressor in any refrigerating system takes low pressure gas from the evaporator and compresses it into a high pressure/temperature gas. This high pressure/temperature gas can then go the condenser coil where it rejects heat and condenses into a high...

Merrill Axle and Wheel Service Try these guys @ 7800 W. 16 Avenue in Lakewood. Around Colfax and Carr? 303.237.8846. They were recommended to me a couple of years ago when I rebuilt the front end on the 70 Malibu Convertible. They did a good job and know their stuff. The bad part was they...

I guess my back is against the wall....

I like Spanish Vettes idea! This seems to be the most reasoned response. A relatively easy short term fix with the opportunity to eventually do whatever you want with your original engine. Ask if the used enigne has had a compression check or better yet if they can do a leak down test for...

[Pics]: 186k miles and still kicking. :)

Lookeen' good! Wow. Looks fantastic for such an experienced woman. My glass top is stored in the garage. I prefer the look of the painted ones. I either want the top off and the wind in my hair or the top on, windows closed with A/C and no greenhouse effect!

    Neat thing about Vettes

High speed lane changes Amen Brother! It is amazing how these machines just jump to the other lane at speed. Passengers sometimes don't appreciate it. I also love accelerating through the sweep of an on ramp or pulling some Gs on the clover leaf off ramp. The limited access boogie!

Vats Haven't been through this with mine yet so I can't help so much. I have seen a few threads on this so you might want to try a search. Good luck and post what you figure out.
