Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a set of tall Chevrolet valve covers and they hit the wiper motor. No big deal until I got caught in the rain and could not see out of the windshield.
I want to keep the valve covers so is there a smaller wiper motor I can put on to replace the big oem unit...
anyone install a shift light? If so where did you install yours? I have a proform shift light that I may install (still going to try and sell the car at bloomington gold) but would like to get some idea's on shift light location. I was thinking top of the dashboard.
I'll be there saturday too. I'll have to see if there is a place the forum people are going to meet and greet. I live about 3 blocks from lake michigan so i'll have a nice fun drive to make.
I do not plan on entering the car into a auction. I'll just throw a for sale sign on it and see what happens.
I really want a newer Corvette for the following reasons:
1. My a/c does not work and I need a new compressor, condensor, and some piping.
2. I want better seats and the stock '85...
Believe it or not some of my friends have been pushing me away from a ZR1...all about $$$ for repairs and to increase h/p vs stock.
The ZR1 and a ZO6 are definetly in the running. I have always liked the LT4. The last hoo rah for the conventional 23* sbc.
tnovet yes, the motor is .040 and...
Im going to sell my 1985 L98 Corvette with all the below mentioned mods. Im going to get the car dyno tested before I sell it.
New paint, wheels and tires. The a/c does not work. I will take some fresh pictures of the car and post them.
Hopefully i'll get 11K for the car. Anyone think I...
I checked the timing again and I can see the 14* base timing on the flywheel. I moved the timing up to 14* base timing and no problems. Actually seems to run a tad bit better.
I called comp cams and asked. There should be a tech number for comp cams you can call.
Like I said, dont be afraid to put your foot into that motor. If its going to blow its going to blow. Waiting 1000 miles is not going to change that.
*edit*
not sure what cam you are running but mine is...
I take some sandpaper and gently scar the intake manifold and block area where the two mate and use ample blue RTV to seal it up. Never had a leak. Make sure none of the sandpaper residue or such gets into the motor!
by the way, might as well put your foot into that motor. Every Corvette that comes off the line goes on the chassy dyno to redline. My car does not burn a drop of oil and i've had my foot into it since day one.
Gotta seat those rings!!!
