Im at 12* timing. Per comps cams my cam calls for anywhere between 10* to 14* base timing. So far so good. Only problem is my marker to check the timing only goes to 12*
last time the car was on jack stands it stopped the rear wheels from moving while in gear. Im going to bleed my brakes again and see what happens. Aside from that the car runs great.
Yep....went to take emission testing this am, get all buckled down on the emission dyno/rollers thing and guess what? My car would not break on the rollers.
The test ended before it started. I was told to get my brakes checked and come back.
It cant be my cam is it? 224/230 comp hyd. roller...
guess when I ran power to hte fan directly from the battery it burnt out the fan. I got a new relay and there is power on & off via hte ignition on with the alcl jumped and + and ground to the fan connector.
I got a new fan and the fan comes on!
The cooling fan on my '85 will not operate. I ran power directly to the fan and it began to run so I have eliminated the fan motor. I checked the fuseable link (20amp) and its fine. I checked the relay and I ran a ground to a few of the terminals and it clicked.
When I connect the alcl links...
I had a MSD 6A once and within 1 week it fried my module and destoryed itself. So needless to say the MSD went bye bye and I got a new module.
But i'de like to get a multiple discharge box or maybe not.
Here are a few questions?
Anyone use the Crane or Mallory multiple discharge boxes? If...
800 hp out of a blown 383 with streetable manners is pretty much out of the question.
Twin turbo is the only way to go. I will not need 2 sets of injectors to handle the power. A friend of mine named Monty has a t.t. 427 c.i. small block chevy in his 82 vette that made 1200 hp on low boost...
Each turbo (not known yet) should be able to support 200 hp and with the above mentioned intake and heads it should not be a problem. DFI would be a must.
Well I have some emission issues and have a thirst for more power.
So im stuck and have to make a decision sooner or later.
To make power and be emission compliant forced induction is the only way to go. So im debating weather to go twin turbo or supercharger with a cog belt drive.
The top...
I have not looked in the shop manual regarding this but when I pull the motor and transmission out of my car will I be able to move the car with the center beam that connects the transmission to the rear differential?
I am going to pull my motor and transmission and sell it but i'll need to...
You have a MAP car so you either have a major vacume leak or the master cylinder is shot.
I forgot to hoop up a vacume line once and my break pedal went to the floor.
I feel for you. Just to tell you about the bull**** i've been through, my recent motor built by on the Chicago lands most "respected" engine builders has another, yes another, leaking head gasket.
The first one was on the driver side. I took the motor out and had the shop replace the head...
I got my B&B LT1 3" dual exhaust installed and to be honest with you it is not as loud as I thought or as I remember hearing on other cars. As now, I have hooker 2149 headers going right to the exhaust system, no cats installed (for now).
All in all I am very impressed with the fit of the...
