Well, I took it to the dealer who confirmed code P1416. They said to replace both air check valves even though P1416 says right side. Fortunately these valves sit right on top of the engine so they're easy to get at and appear to be easy to replace. They cost cost about $23 each wholesale...

I've looked at most of the articles and research on this topic, and it appears that most stock LT4's will dyno at 290-300 at the rear wheels which works back to around 345-355hp at the crank.

I had a 95 LT1 coupe and now have a 96 LT4 vert. Big differences as others have said. Coupe without the top is very loose compared to the vert. The vert has an "X" cross frame underneath that adds stiffness way beyond the coupes. Wind noise goes with the show on either one.
