What are you trying to accomplish? If it's more power, the most you'll get out of that setup would be 5 bhp, if that, and only at higher speeds. Since the L98 is not a high revver anyway since it specializes in low end torque, you may get more satisfaction AND maybe even the same horsepower...

I have a 1991 with 45k miles and autobox. I usually get 15-18 mpg combined city/highway depending on how aggressive I get. I think yours just needs a tuneup: new air filter, spark plugs, maybe new ignition system (dist., wires, timing). Its mileage is pretty close to EPA rating.

Does it create any resonance? Corsa is the only one that offers a cat-back exhaust for the C4 that is truly resonance-free according to their adds. But up to this point, their exhaus system has only been available on the LT-1's & LT-5's.

Sorry about the link. It worked when I first posted it. It consist of everything: Mufflers, Y-pipe, and the price is $799. It's basically the Corsa cat-back exhaust that has been available for the C4 LT-1 & LT-5 engines. This is the first time I've seen it available for the L98 C4 (1984-1991)...

Did anyone notice that on the new Mid America catalog, Corsa now is offering their exhaust for L98 C4's? This exhaust was previously only available for the LT1's and LT5's. The Corsa's are suppose to have the noise cancelling construction, which eliminates resonance on all C4's yet provides...

My 1991 seems to have three sources of interior noise: The drivers side mirror vibrating. The exhaust resonance. And a "ticking" noise coming from the rear hatch area. The ticking sounds like something is hitting either the metal latch or glass. It happens when the car is riding on bumpy...

Had a similar acting noise on my other car years ago. Had the accessory belt replaced and it fixed the noise.

When my "Service Engine Soon" light came on, it was the knock sensor that needed to be replaced. Problem solved.
