    Help! 4+3 trans

Hi, I'm pretty sure engine temp. must be over 120 degrees for the O/D to engage, that's the way my 88 works, you moght have a bad switch and your over drive uses ATF and I would advise changing the ATF. Note the magnet when you remove the pan, if it's loaded, it's been a while.

    Bottoming out

Bottoming out???????? There's a huge group who insist on lowering their machines because it looks good and works well on the track, which most are never on. My 99 scrape's more than the 88 does..........

the Smell of Antifreeze but no leak

I assume the AF odor is inside the car? I had a bad heater core and there was no visible leak or wetness. Bypassed the core and the odor dissapated. When I got around to replacing the core it appeared like the AF was seeping and not a full blown leak. Pressure testing is the way to go, but it...

    Heater core life expectancy

Yeah, The auto manufactures took a heater core and built the car around it. Watch you don't pinch any vacumn lines on reassembly. I did a 79 coupe way back when and pinched a line to the heater control. Lucky we found it early, I'm not sure if yours is the same as a 79, have fun.:beer

    They Just Look Better Lowered

I have a question. Who drives their lowered Vette in the snow?????????

    They Just Look Better Lowered

I have to agree with you, to each his own, but around here a lowered C5 would be useless. A stock C5 is plenty low and one mishap can cost you. There's a law of Diminishing Returns and that's what I go by......
