Tom that's why I just lowered all the way on stock bolts and didn't cut the bushings as I can barely get out of the driveway now.
I thought it did but maybe not!otfl
Hey "D"! You should do that to your car!
I have to agree with you, to each his own, but around here a lowered C5 would be useless. A stock C5 is plenty low and one mishap can cost you. There's a law of Diminishing Returns and that's what I go by......Here's some of my experiences -
- touchless car wash guide rails wide enough for tire but too tall to go under car - stuck on rails,
- tire shops don't have lifts or floor jacks that will go under car (have to drive 40 miles to a shop that can lift car and change tires),
- scatters sail cats and sail rabbits, and road kill armadillos, possums, coons and especially skunks could cause major damage,
- had to add Z06 screens to front intake (with Vararam) as car otherwise vacuums up leaves and air cleaner has to be cleaned every 1,000 miles or so,
- now know every place in town where bottom will scrape.
LOWER? Its only for masochists and trailer queens.
I love the lowered look, but......
If I lowered mine it would be a bad move. As it is, I constantly worry whther or not the front air dam on mine is eventually going to get ripped of because of the angle of the bottom part of my driveway to the street. If I lowered War Pony, it would get ripped off.
I'm with you 808. They'll never understand bra! HaHa
I hear that! I don't usually debate folks about lowered cars, most never even tried. This thread started as a pic thread,i added a pic on page 1,but it's turning into a thread of excuses to why some don't like to drop their rides. I haven't heard one good reason not to yet. I have the same terrible roads and obsticales everyone else has.Except,i think we are the pothole capital of the world..lol.. Heres a pic of my front rim on my c4,hit a huge pothole on the freeway,it's not just the lip,it goes the whole witdth of the rim. Getting it fixed next weekend. My c4 is also dropped, almost 3 inches. Things happen, lowered or not.
I've been lowering my cars ever since my first car in 1986.
