Husband's New Corvette Z06 Hit By Wife's Hyundai Genesis

My grandfather stalled his brand new 1963 Plymouth on the railroad tracks on the way home from the dealership in Salt Lake City. Needless to say, a train came by. Bye bye Plymouth. The ultimate insult was the train. It was his. He had taken the day off to pick up his new car. I heard that story...

    DEAD BATTERIES

Thanks for the info Hib. I WILL NOT buy another Red Top. I have spent a few bucks in the last few months changing out my 57 Bel Air(Corvette suspension and drive train) and my 90 ZR1 from Red Tops to regular lead acid batteries. I will give the others a new battery soon and will give your...

GM disbands unit that creates high-performance vehicles

The ONLY reason the Dems are for bailing out GM, Ford etc is they are in tight with the unions, VERY tight.

A Replacement Tire to Consider for the C6 Z

I replaced my GY's with the same back in August. I had 15k on the GY's at the time. I have been very happy with the Bridgstones so far. Good rain tire and excellent dry tire. Much better ride and quieter than the GY's. I would still like to find a non run flat that is a straight swap front and...

    C6 Z06 Maintenance

Most normal maintenance items aren't that tough. Oil changes, brakes etc can usually be done by the average DIYer. I am fortunate in that I have a very well equipped shop with a lift, a TECH II and just about everything a good Chevrolet shop has.

When Dwayne took me through the factory, he made a point of making me go and see what Art had. Nice stuff always on hand.

    Z06's waiting on the lot

There are 5 sitting at my usual dealer here in Vegas. We had 2 Bill Heard dealerships here in Vegas that went under last month. I don't know what happened to their inventory but they did have a ZR1. I have a very good friend that worked at the Bill Heard dealership as a shop foreman. He didn't...

    Bridgestones

Well it has been about a month since I put the Bridgestone Potenzas on my Z. Not a lot of difference grip wise but they are quieter a smoother ride. Just a little over 4k miles in that month. I drove from Vegas to Portland Oregon and back. If you can, avoid the streets in Portland. Bumpy as all...

    2009 Z06 Corvette Details

I had a 2000 FRC that I really miss. That car was the street fighter. Even with just an LS1 it was a blast to drive and I don't remember ever getting beat. There were a couple close calls with some VERY fast BMWs. It was a lean mean fightin machine.
