    New Tires

I wanted to swap out the extreme summer tires a couple of years ago when the A/S 3 + came out but Michelin wasn't making them in the size I needed for the rear. I ended up buying another set of Super Sports. Last year, Michelin finally releases them in my size but I still had too much left in...

    New Tires

Howdy, I wanted to give the Tuna Sport new tires before Caravan and they needed to be All Season, spending 10 days on the road, it's almost guaranteed to see some rain somewhere. Michelin had teased their Pilot A/S 3 + (ZP) for a couple of years but they didn't have them in my size - 335/25/20...

    Chasing Down Fuel Problem

Sounds like fuel pump or a plugged filter or both. Definitely pull the codes. A fuel pressure gauge is a nice item to have in your tool box. I had a '96 once and it was hard cranking then would run find - up to about 4000 RPM, then it seemed to lose power. The hard cranking was caused by...

    Question: MagRide Shocks

I'll look into that possibility. Thanks.

    Question: MagRide Shocks

Thanks for the answer. I'm not having any handling or ride issues and the service tech said they were damp. I'm going to watch them for a little longer.

    Question: MagRide Shocks

So, how long should the MagRide shocks on a C6 last? My dealer says mine are damp and need to be replaced. I have 59,000 miles on my 2013 now. The dealer also says ~ $3500 to replace all four. That sound right?

    Saw one yesterday

Saw another one over the weekend at the National Corvette Museum when it looped the south circle. There's video of this elsewhere on the web.

    Saw one yesterday

My wife and I were on a VIP tour of the Corvette Plant yesterday that was arranged by the NCM. At the end of the plant tour, there is a small work area just before going back into the foyer. Inside that work area was a camo C8 sitting just a few feet away from us. There was also glass between...

    1998 convertible

Kelley's Blue Book thinks $8k is a good price for a '98 with that sort of mileage. If it has been maintained well, it should last a lot longer. There are always issues with a car 20+ years old. Take it out for a test drive and see if you like it.

    Exhaust bypass system

Fail "LOUD" is exactly how mine failed back in 2012. One, just one, of the vacuum diaphragms failed and that caused a loss of vacuum at the muffler. Both sides opened up and my Vette was LOUD for a week, until I could get it to the dealer. I didn't get any warning messages, just LOUD exhaust.
