So, how long should the MagRide shocks on a C6 last?
My dealer says mine are damp and need to be replaced.
I have 59,000 miles on my 2013 now.
The dealer also says ~ $3500 to replace all four. That sound right?

There is no time or mileage limit on shocks unless you want to believe the aftermarket that pushes them for profit. When they are damaged or leaking or you have ride/handing issues then they should be replaced. Weeping is the start of a leak, but as a tech I would only recommend to watch for now and determine later how soon to replace based on the amount of extra fluid leaking (if any at all) in the future , unless of course you are having handling or ride issues.

The price sounds about right, they are expensive shocks.

Thanks for the answer. I'm not having any handling or ride issues and the service tech said they were damp. I'm going to watch them for a little longer.

Tuna, check with Rock Auto. Prices are around $400 each for the mag shocks. With a willing mechanic you should get out for less than two grand.

I'll look into that possibility. Thanks.
