    2001 Corvette Video

New 2001s did come with a VHS tape. You may be able to get it from GM. I have seen them on ebay too. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7967807272&category=38655&sspagename=WDVW

    Exhaust jingle

Sometimes the crossover "H" pipe breaks on the inside. If it is still under warranty have them change it.

Questions about tires/1st to 4th shifting??

The stock Z06 GY Super Car F1s are great tires. Get a new set. The Firestones are better in some ways than the C5's stock GY runflats but IMHO not better than non-runflat GY F1 Super Car tires. A tire patch repair is much better than a plug. The plug can lead to tire seperation and balance...

DIC, dash lights on and off.

Jimmie, The real credit goes to Paul C4C5specialist and CAC. He told me about it after I ran into the problem. This forum is a great resource. It is well worth the $10 donation to keep it going. http://corvetteactioncenter.com/forums/showpost.php?p=341874&postcount=1 Frank (bluecoupe)

DIC, dash lights on and off.

Try adjusting (turn up) the dimmer control for the dash lights. I had a similar problem when I set the auto headlights to on.

    Customer Satisfaction Survey

A Harley dealer gave me a $100 gift certificate because I allowed him to "help" me fill out the survey. Tell the dealer you want your first service for free if you fill out the survey. Then everyone wins.

    Finally bought.

Get the vin number and go to your chevy service manager and ask him to run a repair history report. A carfax report to see if there were any accidents would be good too. The tire pressure monitors' readings are displayed on the DIC (Driver Information Center) on the dash.

    Hows it feel ??

My prior Vette was a 1977 - paid $8,400 in 1981 (Paid a lot because it was a 4 speed and awesome condition.). Sold it in 1988 for $6,800. I used it as my daily driver. Needed paint when I sold it. Lost $1,600 overall. (Wish I kept it.) My wife's 1976 Corvette automatic was bought in 1984 for...

    Oil Burn

Is it a maunal or automatic? GM was blaming the oil usage on driving style.

40th Anniversary My new 40th Ruby Coupe

You can't pay too much for a 40th Anniversary Vette you can only buy it too soon. IMHO It WILL go up in value. It may take 5 or 10 years but if you take good care of it you will not be sorry. As soon as my last puppy is out of college (and the loans are paid) it will be the first toy I buy. Of...
