hey i know what you mean,had an87 camaro w/t- tops ,one lever ,pull and remove.don`t know of any quick release mechanism.Have heard of guys using a cordless screwdriver.still a pain for me though.
well jeff welcome.had a similar problem with my 90.cleaned out abunch of crap from the evaporater.you have to get a little creative with cleaning it. try a search ,i posted about this awhile ago.good luck.....bill
DUH!!! sorry forgot what i was writing and got a head of my self.i meant i swapped out the whole distributer,lots of corrosion ,and by the time you add up all the componts it cheaper to replace..car runs and idles great now......srry getting sleepy

throwing parts at it can get expensive.you said the injectors are good,how were they checked?same thing with ignition please tell me how it was checked.during a no start you saw a nice spark at the plugs?not trying to be a d*ck but need some facts so we can help.and please unless im` mistakin...
okay..now when you get a no start check the spark.coil or the module could be going bad.most of the oil and wax parts houses sell something that goes in between the plug and wire or the wire and cap. try that and then let us know.
ok first , vats will prevent engine from cranking.if cranking then lets assume vats is good. check fuel pressure on the rail...passenger side.check w/engine off key on ,i belive its around 40lbs or so...if you have fuel pressure ,you could check ohms at the injectors.do a search forget the...

Hey Rowdy great link.tv can not begin to convey the sound and the smell.Too bad all the strips around here are closed.about three hours one way to the nearest strip.I guess the towns would rather the land be used to teach our kids how to play tennis or golf or some thing less intruesive.
i could me wrong but...don`t have the factory time rate in front of me but i would think at least twenty hours labor and thats not counting stripped broken bolts. figure a labor rate of at least fifty dollars an hour .and i think thats on the cheap side ..at least around here.
well rob good luck.this was not one of gms` best set ups. There is a vacuum module under the dash that gets info from the head unit in the dash. some folks have had luck cleaning the head unit .there also is a small vacuum "t" /check valve in the engine compartment that has a tendency to get...
