Same boat here with my 96.
Ran out of gas last week and the Service ENgine Soon light came on.
Has not gone back out - figured I needed to hit the Auto store and have them clear the code.

yea, know its bad for the fuel pump since it uses the gasoline to help cool itself.
Ran out in mine last night on the way back from a gig. I was 20 miles from the next city, cell phone was dead and just by luck my drummer was an hour behind me.
An hour of sitting on the side of the interstate...
I had the Vortex Rammer from Breathless, but never installed it.
Came across a deal on a Vararam and put it in instead. (pain in the arse to install, but I like it)

I have a smal set of Motorolas that only pick up single digit bands.
Alas, my Vette Club uses channel 1.5 (although Ive now been told that the nationwide channel for Corvettes is 5.3 - for 1953).
So I went to Sams and bought some better ones.(Talkabout T5900) A bit larger but have better...
