89x2...I just talked this over with my wife. If we still have the TT by that time I am going to make a very determined effort to drive there. This is a driving car with lots of chips and road wear. Do you have any idea of the time frame? This is probably the closest a Callaway event will ever be...
Well, we really haven't decided just yet. We've been through quite a bit of soul-searching...house searching...and other thinking to see how to live with 4 cars in a house meant for 2. The most realistic scenario had us with a lift in the garage with the TT on top and that realistically meant it...
I must admit I love the photo...especially how the stars and bars show up in the reflection on the car. Unfortunately we're considering selling it. Just not enough room for 2 vettes around here.
There are a few errors in this article. Even my wife spotted them. You would think they could do better fact checking. :( :(
...Just reminds me of the AutoWeek article that talked about all the sheetmetal at the Corvette 50th celebration. :( :(
"Impossible to ignore" Millenium Yellow is drop dead gorgeous. There's no two ways about it. The ONLY drawback to it is that bugs love to hump it continually. Park on the grass next to other vettes and you'll be the only one with every type of insect for miles coming to pay you a call.
Let me know if you are interested in buying two Callaway intercoolers for it. They are used and not in pristine condition but are probably better than what you have there.
Did you buy this?
Not only is it low but I think it peaks way late. I believe these engines peak right around 2800 and then taper off to 4k or so where they start to really drop off. The torque curve doesn't look right for a TT. Perhaps it's a SN instead? The ZR-1 (or should I say XR-1?) appears similar in shape...
Yeah...I know. I don't have much choice for now. :( We're taking advantage of low rates and refi'd for some cash to remodel the garage. All lawn stuff goes to a new section by the end of the year. You wouldn't (or probably would!) believe how careful I am getting the mower in and out of the garage.
Yours is stuffed too, huh? A remodel this summer will hopefully alleviate that cramped space.
We just got our Z's plate approved-- PINCHME :Steer Hope the men in blue don't take it seriously.
You have a pair, huh? OK, I'll call... I don't think my hand's good enough to raise. :) :)

The torque should be much higher. My '87 hit only 289 rwhp but had 436 rwtq. Chev uses 16% factor for 4+3 so that puts me at 344 HP and 519 lb/ft torque--dead on specs for '87 HP and a little higher on torque. The torque peaks at 2800 as it should.
If the 412 HP is correct, the torque...
I took a chance and bid on them and won. Now...for all you ebay guys, what can I do to protect myself? Can I insist on an escrow service or is there another way to ensure the goods are as advertised prior to release of funds? TIA.
Boy that sure is tempting. I am very worried about the seller with 0 feedback. How do we verify his integrity or the integrity of the parts???
Any ideas on the price the turbos would cost at Callaway? I'm leaking oil from one and am considering fixing it. Replacing would be better. Also, are...
Yes, I took delivery. The dealer considers it a warranty repair so is fully coverable for the life of the warranty. We're talking about what looks like a blackhead and is about that size. It will be fixed. The nearest Yellow Z06 is in Oregon and no guarantees that the car is any better shape or...
I can't take this break in period. Speed under 55...no revs...no hard braking. How am I supposed to cope? Oh well, the weekend is over and I'm almost to 300 miles.
What a car! I can't say enough good things about it but I do have some questions.
-My wife will object to the cabin noise...
Follow up: I was finally able to talk to the GM of the dealership. He was unhappy the way things worked out and made the right noises. The car was sent to a shop where a repair was attempted. Turns out one of the "chips" was actually a defect in the fiberglass. Kind of like a pimple. After the...
The day my wife and I have been awaiting for quite some time was here. Last Friday (5/18) we purchased an '03 MY Z06. The dealer was great--they accepted our offer and set delivery for yesterday. There were some defects that were to be fixed like a small cut on the steering wheel (replaced), a...
