    64 With BB & A/C

There will probably be a problem with the BB rad too. A 65 rad MAY fit the support. A 66 or 67 BB rad will not. I have a Griffin rad in my 66.

    NCRS judging question

Not to worry. I have found more than a few of those problems with the AIM and with the JG. The problems usually arise because the AIM was a living document in 1966 and changes (to the AIM) were made or ignored as assembly processes changed - whether authorized by engineers or not. The books we...

Switching to BB Radiator any recommendations?

IMO it's tilted to allow a bigger rad, but has no top clearance - with A-C you will need the rubber seal to the hood. Since the rad support will be nonstock anyways, you have my pemission to cut holes in it alongside the radiator. It has holes in it for A-C lines from the factory.

Switching to BB Radiator any recommendations?

I sold my Dewitt aluminum direct fit rad to a guy in TX who installed it in his 66sb car to eliminate the tank. He bought the 4 rad support brackets and cushions. The upper brackets bolt in, and he welded in the lower brackets. he does not have an A-C car, and the rad worked great for him - even...

Relays Are Our Friends..Relays...What Are They Good For..?????

The Valiant alarm system I got from JCWhitney has a bunch of relays in it that will turn on parking lights, dome lights, honk your horn, cut off your starter solenoid, etcetera. I have the one that allows you to suppress the arming/disarming chirp, since I have a Cellalarm connected to the...

    Small engine fire

IH2LOSE: Yes the link can be hidden if you want to chop the harness. I bolted mine to the harness lug and wrapped it separate, to keep it from harming the harness wires if it burns - that way I replace the link and my harness is undamaged. The link does not prevent the pink ignition line from...

    Small engine fire

I have fusible links at the starter and stinger fuses at the alt to save the car, but IMO the primary ingnition line needs a 5-10amp line fuse at the resistor. I use a 10a because my electric choke runs off it too. If the line shorts, I replace the 10a fuse instead of the harness that has the...

New Corvette Fever Page 14 (MIDYEAR)

Cowl induction?? I have a question: What's the point of a cowl induction hood on a car that has a cold air hose feeding the engine from the front? At low speeds it should allow the engine to exhaust heat onto the windshied, but at highway speeds the windshield is a high pressure area. PS...

    Raising Rear Ride Height

I used air shocks for years, but they only increase the load carrying capacity. To raise the rear (I like my car to be tail high) 10-12 years ago, I installed shorter grade8 bolts with stainless nylok nuts that allow me to set the ride height and balance the height left to right. If your...

Question: What happens when shielded secondary touches coil primary?

Yeah, but toast smells a whole lot better, even when you burn it.:ugh

Question: What happens when shielded secondary touches coil primary?

Answer: I forgot to put back the rubber caps I made for the coil primary studs. Had to run to NAPA for more pink wire. The line now has a fuse in it too.

    Mid America's Funfest 2005. Who's going?

The only trailer my 66 has ever seen is the little Coleman I towed my bicycles to the bike trails on. I sold the trailer hitch 5 years ago. See you at Funfest.............. I gotta ride that Cowvette one more time

A funny one at a car show today.....

At least the guy was interested enough in your car to try to strike up a conversation. Two things come to mind: To a kid, everyone over the age of 16 looks old enough to have voted for Lincoln. When striking up a conversation, please make sure your brain is engaged before putting your mouth in...

Corvair Steering column in a Vette?

If the length of the tube is the same or longer, and the length of the shaft it roughly the same with the same flexjoint spline - IMO it's a direct fit.

Groovyjay - nice web site - is the 65 one of the cars getting the 6speed?

    Fuel pump help needed

Purolator make high and low pressure pumps that are small and relatively (to Holley) inexpensive. I have been using a very dependable (double the GM spec flow rate) low pressure purolator for years. The pic shows it sitting on a rear/trans motor mount.

So, what's new today you ask?

Uh - wouldn't it have been easier to bend the bumper brackets?

Have Engine,Trans etc. also have questions need answers please.

You may have to remove one of the seat belt anchor nuts to get it in place. The limiting function is the rear ujoint. I had a 4 inch and it was tight. I raised the body of my car 1/2 inch to get more clearance last year, but it's a pita to reset the bumper brackets.
