I found the warning buzzer and disconnected it. I also bought a quick disconnect from Ecklers. That should resolve that problem. Thanks for the help.

Congrats on the award. I hang out with a bunch of boulevard cruiser old guys. In their world " a Vette is a Vette is a Vette". No appreciation of the nuances. If it ain't a "muscle car" or a hot rod , it ain't cool.

I had a bunch of weird sticking anf poppinh noises when I got mine. Once I removed the old differential fluid and replaced it with 2 units of posi fluid and the rest with "official" GM fluid, the npise went away. Turned out to be dry posi clutches.

You got to laugh. I went to where I have the Vette "stabled". Jumped in. Started it up. Pushed the power window switch to confirm that I needed to fix it. Wouldn't you know it? The windows worked just fine. I guess letting it sit was all it needed. LOL.....

I hope to get at it this week (I was on vacation last week). I definitely plan on trying the velcro thing while I have it apart. I never thought of gluing the circuit boards. Usually, just pulling things apart and putting them back together worked. I guess that included the circuit boards, too.

It will be a project for next week. I am seriously (don't laugh) thinking about putting velcro in place to hold the side panels of the console. Those 3 screws are starting to strip out and it seems I have this thing apart way too often.

Yesterday the power windows decided to quit working again. They do this about 3 times a summer. Everything is working just fine. Then, out of nowhere, they decide to quit working. I have to take the side off the center console (I need to put velcro on it), take the plugs off the window switch...

I just bought a cheap "suction pump" at Auto Zone. It emptied all the old fluid out just fine. Put in 2 units of posi fluid and filled the rest with "official" GM differential fluid. Went pretty smootly.

I live in MN and I have never had an emissions check on my Vette.

Well, I had to run up to the dealership for something else, so I took the Vette. I had the dude in the service area take it for a spin. He loved it! He also said that the noise, to him, sounded like it was coming from the right rear and not the right front! Can this get any curiouser?

Maybe I just need to drive it and see if there is something that will eventually go away (and hopefully not pass me on the highway).

I did grab the wheel at 9 and 3 and moved it. No movement. I think the bearings are OK. I was thinking that maybe the dust shield got bent somehow. But then, it would make a more 'constant' noise. I am coming back to warped rotor, but turning the rotor should have uncovered that. So, maybe not...

Well, my saga continues.... Put on a new caliper. Noise still there. Hmmm... Had the rotor turned. There ya go. Nope. Noise still there... There is nothing else that moves up there. Don't bearings "chirp"? This definitely sounds like a rubbing sound. I can't see it. I hate to have to resort to...
