THanks John.... now on to the next problems... brakes are all gummed up.. so replacing the shoes and gas smells like turpentine... flushed the tank once.. still smells.. number one cylinder is misfiring, hope the gas fouled the plug.. new plugs new wires, rebuilt engine.. so once again.. any...
Finally.. once i replaced the clutch with a new one the I bought from Paragon.. everything worked like it should...
SO it looks like that was the culprit.. even though it was a new clutch.. it was the three finger clutch that did not work..

I have my car there now getting saftied, and having some clutch problems fixed. I went by the cruise night on Saturday early.. just as a spectator... I have not driven my car yet.. It was a project car that should be on the road soon.. Do you take your car?

Can somebody clarify what is the correct version of the VIN stamping on a frame?
I have seen a frame for a '60 with a full VIN stamped in one location, and a frame with a partial VIN stamped twice on another '60 Frame.. which is correct?

everyting is welded solid and no movement.. the linkage moves but does not engage the clutch...
i keep scratching my head,,, could the clutch be instlalled wrong or maybe the wrong one?

Ray I am not sure where the clutch came from.. I ordered it thru a local corvette shop.. who i am sure just ordered it from their parts supplier.. I am pretty sure it wasn't NAPA..

I just ordered the right throwout bearing from Paragon, since it looks like there is no way to avoid taking the transmission out.. you advice will make sure i only take it out once.. so between the bearing, the fork and the stud.. i sure hope i got it covered...
The shifter moves into all positions, but it doesn't appear the clutch is engaging at all when you depress the clutch pedal .. there is no free play in the clutch pedal either.. so i am guessing i may have the wrong ball stud or clutch fork.. i ordered the correct parts and am hoping this is the...
