Thanks for the info,, i just sent in my package to get the insurance..
There is a $55,000 limit, anything over that you have to either get an alarm system wired to the police, or some kind of tracking on your car, like Boomerang.
Recently bought my car.. a C1.. 1960 - 290 HP Fuelie.. Going to get insured thru Silver Wheels in Canada. Anybody have any horror stories or problems with them.. if you had to use the claims service?
I am restoring my 60Fulie. i am stumped with the rear end.. the date code is F34, and the casting number is 3725899 and the stamped date of assembly is B0618... I can't decode this .. can anyone help?
I have read that the VIN number began getting stamped on the engine pad in 1960 and i have also read that it began in 1961..
Can somebody confirm what day/month or serial number the change was made..
Thanks
THanks. I gues i really do have an ex fuelie.. Now the fun begins.. Going to strt working on getting it back to a Fuel Injected car again..
Really appreciate your help.
I found a decent close up pic for you.. would love to get the template as i am putting together a fuelie as well

THANKS. I will take a look again.. there are two holes in the center of the firewall about 2 inches in diameter overlapping. ther is no plate on the fresh air intake, i will take a closer look to see if there was any evidence of tapped holes. Looks like the tach was changed out.. i will check...
How can you tell if the car was originally a fuelie.. without documentation and over time the engine and other parts were changed..
I was told that the fulie had extra "holes" in the firewall and extra brackets..
Can anybody confirm this.
Thanks..
