    Bilstein Shocks

I need some opinions. I keep hearing Bilstein all over the forums and before I go out and spend my hard earned$$$, I wanted all you folks with them to tell me to Bilstein or not to Bilstein. I have the base suspension with Z-06 sway bars and base springs. Tell me what it does for the ride, what...

    Look At This Site!

That's true, and there's no mention of it in the article. I wonder if it will work? Supposedly since the sealent stays wet inside the tire. Can the tire monitor systems be disabled? Herbie

    C5 2001 Front Rotors

Alrighty then! That's great info guys. I will check them myself individually. Can I resurface the rotors and put the same pads back on? Or should I replace them too? They only have about 5k miles on them I think. Or should I resurface all four and newpads. I will make sure this time they torque...

    C5 2001 Front Rotors

Macshee98, thanks for the tip. If I understand you correctly, improper torque of the lug-nuts causes the inside part of the disc/rotor to move toward the outside part of the hub causing the pad and disc to wear unevenly on that side? So what I am really feeling is the uneven wear or the loosness...

    C5 2001 Front Rotors

Luckyj, I know what your sayin. Happened on my Tahoe as well. The pulsating is essentially warped rotors. Even if the dealer decides to replace the rotors as soon as you heat them up again you still have the same problem again. The rotors aren't any good for this type of performance vehicle. Of...

    C5 2001 Front Rotors

Erinmist, same thing on my 99MN6 coupe! But It normally happens at high speeds or hard braking. The OEM brake rotors and pads are not up to par with this car. The good news is there are plenty of better aftermarket braking systems designed for the C5. What I am going to do is let these wear...

    Over heating

les, before you take out the spoiler, try Redline's water wetter. Two for a vette. I would also consider the lower thermostat and reprogram the fan's or a constant monitor fan controller to dial in the fans at a lower temp. This might help but there really isn't anything better than air. Hope...

    Electronic Column Lock

Thanks for the info. I have my appointment set with the dealer for next week, whatever it is they have to fix it. I also have the GM extended warranty so just in case. This is the reason why I constantly monitor these forums, cause Vette owners stay on top of it. THanks! Have a great 4th.... Herbie

    Electronic Column Lock

c4c5 Specialist c4c5, my car is a 99 vin X5124565, and I have not had a problem. Do I need to take it to the dealer for a recall? What do I need to do? What is the problem? Herbie

    Z06 Intake

DANL72... If your talking about the ZO6 air intake and removal of the screen you can do it yourself in fifteen minutes. It's really simple to do. Just open the hood and start at the throttle body by removing the clamp that holds it. Then go directly to the airbox and remove the filter. Then...

    Tire options

I would agree with both of you gentlemen. There are pro's and con's with changing over to non-run flats. Most flat tire issues are generally slow leaks that go undetected. If you get a major sidewall blowout, then you would be screwed no matter what tire youn were using. With non-runflats, the...

    Zo6 Maf For Ls1

Hello all. I have a question. I would like to change the MAF in my 99 LS1 coupe to a 2002 ZO6 MAF. I noticed that Halltech uses it in thier 599.00 T1-C air intake system. I aslo noticed that they mentioned a five pin versus three and two pin plug and play configuration. This is probably a...
