OK. Ill let the car warm up. Then hook up the vacuum gauge. Then back the idle mixture screw clockwise to seat and then back off 3 turns to start. Then fix the idle (rpms). Then adjust to get the most vacuum?
I used castrol super clean and a small brush. A tooth brush and a nail cleaning brush. Take your time and use the cleaner sparingly. Then use Vinylex by Lexol. This stuff is better than the rest and gives the car a nice almost new car smell.
Just last week I messed with the screws. I turned them counter clock to seat them and backed them off clockwise to 2 turns. The car runs better and dont smell rich. Is this possible? Is the carb getting too much fuel? Also when I backed them off counter clockwise the car stalled. My carb is the...
What will the compression ratio be with the new heads?
My suspension is mostly the same as yours.
I have a 2200 stall converter with the 700R4 and 3.08 rear.
Do you have the stock rear?
:bu
john81- Are you still running the original bottom end? If I get the heads, cam and headers I should have the same output? Have you had your car clocked?
I was messing around with the car today. My car is a pig. My brothers 5.0 would kill my car. I want to run a 13 or better in the 1/4 mile. Does anybody's car (C3) run that fast? If so how much HP do you have and at what RPM range is most of your power.
Leejandz- I have nothing. Not a vac hose or anything. I dont know if just cats on the car will pass. It passes with no emissions now but it doesnt pass visual.
The previous owner is using the emissions from my car for something else. I really, really need it back. Where can I get the emissions parts. Is there a place that sells a complete kit?
For the first few winters I would Park the car in the yard and unregister it. Now that I have a garage and the Long Island winters weren't so bad I leave it registered all year round. What colors is your car? What was the $3000 spent on.
Tweek, you are so right about this winter. Its been a bi-ch. I can't wait to take the tops off and go for a long cruise (and enjoy all the $$ spent on the car).
:v
I tried the Bilsteins. They were too stiff for everyday driving. I have had AC DELCO heavy duty in there for 3yrs now and it is smooth but handles well. I think I paid $27 each.
