Tough thing about insurance is that most of us are all guilty of this. We get collector car insurance and it specifically says that we are not insured for racing etc. Of course almost everyone at the Raceway Park show either ran their cars down the drag strip or autocrossed. How the hell do you...
I left early and missed that one!!! I walked down to the autocross area and remember seeing that guy run his car. I think the roof was off due to his hight. With the helmut on if I recall his head was above the roofline. I feel terrible for the guy!!! It was a great show!!! Im part of the Vette...
Cant beat a 71!!!! Actually sharks from 70 - 72 are what I feel the nicest looking sharks of the bunch!!! Wheelwells are flared out a bit versus the 68/69, chrome bumpers front and rear and fiber optics on the 70 and 71. Watch the prices on these. They are next to fly with a lot of value in...
For 5200 bucks ya cant go wrong....Its a whole car there!!! If the engine aint running to well drop a crate motor in it and have some fun!!! Write the check!!!!:lou
Congrats on the shark!!!!! In the next few years you will be looking for a second one to keep the current one company!!!! Two vettes are twice the fun!!!! All kidding aside enjoy it!!!!:wDont forget to wave!!!!
I have both and they are truly two different vehicles (at least mine are). The C4 has razor crisp handling. Mine isnt falling apart and is tight as a drum. The C4 is light years ahead in technology and would be a bit more difficult to work on. The C3 lets face it has a lot of character with the...
I just cant think of the name of the place or where its located but they do advertise occasionally in the Sunday Asbury Park Press. They refinish wheels. Check this sundays paper. I threw my old one out already!!

JUst throwing this out there to all of you that may provide me some help. My 71 all of a sudden lost its brake lights and turn signals. Hazard lights work, as do the parking lights. I know the fuses are ok...already checked them. I know there is a stoplamp switch but I have know idea where to...

I have my 88 and now my 71 insured through American Collector Car Insurance. If you use your car as a daily driver most collector car will not insure your car for an agreed value. American will insure most any Vette. They can be reached at 856-779-7212.
Good Luck!!!

Hey gang real dumb question here and hope to get some sort of direction. Recently got my 71 shark and love it. However, seems to be some issues with the ignition/steering column lock. just tried to fire it up and the key doesnt want to turn at all. I can jiggle it turn the wheel whatever and it...
If you like the car and have been looking at others just write the check!!!! On a Vette with that kind a clock on it you really cant lose. I see some rats that are selling between 7-10k.Lets all be honest with each other...When we sell our cars we always want top dollar. When we buy something we...
Interesting thread here.... I enjoy driving my Vettes slow and fast. The 71 really doesnt get jumped on to much.... Every so often Ill stomp on it to have the torque throw me into the seat but from a handling standpoint it doesnt match the C4 chassis. The C4 I feel a hell of a lot more...
Always loved the C4 style back in the days. In 1988 I was in the auto biz on the sales side for Chevrolet. Being a car enthusiast I was one of the few that understood Corvettes and for that matter trucks too. I had sold the only 88 35th Anniv car that we had (Chevy only made 2050 of them) As I...
The 35th is a great looking Vette. These cars are beginning to move up in price and are starting to command a stiff premium over any 88 excluding the Callaways. There have been some brokers trying to push these prices for an exceptional clean low mileage car in the low 20's. Although I own one im...
Enough of being concerned abou the $$$$ for gas... My feeling is that my Vettes are premium cars deserving of premium fuel...So that is what goes in the tank...PREMIUM
