I had a similar problem last year. Got the Service Tire Monitoring System prompt and the DIC showed XXX for the left rear pressure. Made a appointment at the dealers and on the way there everything cleared up. Called the dealer and they said if it was now working properly there was nothing...
I usually check multiple sources for info. Everyone makes a mistake now and then and I have found my share in the CAC secs. Off the top of my head I beleive Mag Red II is listed as a color on the 97 and 98. That would be a rare car. Love the site but no one is perfect.
Annie When you run without oil friction heats everything to the point it melts and bonds together so nothing moves because there is nothing left to move. All your major internal parts, pistons, bearings are now one mass of metal. No more moving parts This is a little over simplified but you...
No sir. 42.00 per thousand valuation per year and they tax like cars don't depreciate. Awhile back I bought a new truck and after three years they still valued it at more than list. Welcome to RI.
The speed bug bit me around Mid December. Went loooking for a MY ZO6 to keep my 00 Mag Red Vert company. Good judgement prevailed(boy is that new to for me). I decided to wait awile and am glad I did. I love the Vert and figured if I want to go faster I could get just as much out of the Vert...
Congrats on your first Ameican car. Great Choice. I understand a lot of the parts for a 68 are year specific so they are expensive. The choice of the members seems to be 69. I sure someone more knowledgeable than I will give you some help. Good Luck
Also what setting would you use with the F45. Some say the preformance setting is correct and some say the tour is preferable because it allows the weight to be distributed more easily to the rear wheels. Any other thoughts about the F45 would also be appreciated. Thanks. Michael
I think it all depends on how you intend to use the car. Must have for a daily driver. As for myself I don't care for them and since I don't leave my car anywhere that there isn't secure parking, not having them works for me. Michael
I drive mine exactly like you do. Rarely get on it. Checking the oil is a real challenge. The only way I can get a consistant reading is checking it cold, after it's sat over night. And then it's iffy. When it's warm forget it. I also get the same taping you mentioned. Quite annoying...
In 69 I dad a 68 coupe,427,400hp,4 speed. Beautiful car. Spent more time at the dealers than my gararge. I couldn't imagine why someone had traded the car when it was less than a year old. Found out.
They should be ok now. I am sure all the kinks are out of them. Michael
Thank you Scissors. I knew there was a year when the formula for measuring bhp was changed. I was looking for the year and the reason for the hp differences. 73 sounds correct and your explanation of the way the bhp was determined sounds correct. Many knowledgeable Vette owners I know often...
