Yes mine is an automatic. They didn't give me a copy of anything. It was apart but I put it back together. I took the lock plate out while I had it apart. I even showed the service manager the plate I took out.
Hey everybody. I just got screwed last week at a chevy dealer in Bethany Missouri called Pettijohns Auto Center. Don't ever go there. I took my 97 vette in for a column lock recall last week and sat there for three hrs. When it was done I noticed that the steering wheel still would lock, so I...
Thanks man. I have mine lowered but it has the Z51 suspension. The reason I was asking about the other suspension is because my buddy has that kind. Again thanks.
I don't seem to have much problems with mine scraping. I have mine lowered way down. My friend is the one that has the vette with the F55 suspension. He had heard that lowering the F55 could damage it.
I have heard about the bypass. Is it somthing that I could install? I used to work at a mechanic shop and I always have done all my own work on my cars. I have worked on just about everything but didn't know if this would exceed my mechanical limits.
Mine is an auto. I don't care if it has the lock or not. I'd rather it didn't. I also do have a superchips tune in it. GM told me I could bring it in and they would do the recall but I heard that there has been problems after it's been done.
After I installed my superchips microtuner the tranny seems to shift alot harder. It will now slide sideways when it shifts to second.I installed a tranny cooler to help keep it cool.Does anybody think that will hurt the transmission shifting that hard?
