Some people take them and pay to have them repaired. $:W$
In the past, I have used an orbital sander with garnet sandpaper. ONLY on the rash area. Sand it down smooth, using a higher grit paper each time.
Start with 80 or 100 grit. The final sanding should be done with 600 or 800 grit. I then...
Interesting, learn something new everyday. :thumb
I've often wondered how the magic rebuilder elf got into those things and "rebuilt" them. I've destroyed several with a dremel and never could figure out how to rebuild the units. Yet I saw advertisements for it. ;shrug
Hmmmmm ...
I've had similar results with theTPS sensor on supercharged Pontiac motors. I was suprised at the difference a few millivolts could make.
How was the one you purchased adjustable ? were the slots elongated on the screw holes so it could be spun ? Or did it have an actual adjustment potentiometer ?
Agreed. I would be interested in some pics as well. I know your car makes some huge power numbers so it must not create any structural integrity issues.

agreed Chiltons and Haynes manuals stink on this car IMHO. They are very inferior to the real thing. It seems every chapter ended with something like
" this procedure should be performed by qualified personel only. If this ( insert name here) is malfunctioning, take your car to an authourized...
I believe those rims are directional, meaning a left and right exist as well as a front to back. So keep that in mind when looking.
I've seen them for as litle as $75 each on Ebay with a little road rash, all the way up to 225 for the right rear in prestine conditon. IF you take your time you...
I'm not so sure about that. You may have a spring or two that is lighter than the others, but I doubt they break. I think you will be fine on the springs. I have seen situations where a super hot cam with high lift and super stiff springs had sat up for an extended period and broke the valve...
How do you get the additives into the housing ? Whats the secret there?
Just pour it in the little hole? :bash do a slurp and squirt with a new baster ?
Why did you go immediately to synthetics ?
I guess as far as lubricants go, that is the only one that isn't synthetic on the LT1. That is...
I'm now to the rear portion of my 1995 6 speed 'vette. Next on my list this weekend is draining and refilling the rearend housing.
Again, I went to the GM dealer and was met with a strange look and after several minutes was handed a bottle of Fluid with a little bottle of friction modifier...
The bushings may be gone in the headlight motor. Its about 6 bucks to fix if that is the case.
Here is my link I used when I had the issue.

Instructions on the repair...
how do these adapters work ? Do you have to put on extended lug nuts or studs ?
Your not moving the tires out 1\2 to 3\4 of an inch and just bolting the wheels on are you ? :W
I couldn't imagine more than 5 or 6 threads from each nut would be holding the wheel on !
Am I missing...
Agreed. Get a pressure check tool, pump it up and get a mirror back there so you can see where its coming from.
Guessing is expensive. :W
Could be an intake gasket as well.
