Anyone have a procedure for fixing slight curb rash on Sawblades?
 
Anyone have a procedure for fixing slight curb rash on Sawblades?


Some people take them and pay to have them repaired. $:W$

In the past, I have used an orbital sander with garnet sandpaper. ONLY on the rash area. Sand it down smooth, using a higher grit paper each time.
Start with 80 or 100 grit. The final sanding should be done with 600 or 800 grit. I then polish the area with mothers aluminum polish, which makes it too shiny.

I then get steel wool and score the surface in the same direction as the original finish.

I end the process with a coat of clear coat on the spot that was scraped only.

It aint perfect, but you can get it real close. :thumb
