The A8 actually gets near 11.0 when launch control is used. Traction control catches the throttle and holds it just below rear wheel spin and that gives max power without wheel spin and the best 1/4 mile times achievable. It also takes the excessive load off the transmission.

All cars with really wide front tires do this. The tires scrub, catch, and scrub when the wheel is turned near the lock on either side. Easing off on the wheel stops it.

Just finished the Ron Fellows Z06 racing school. The car had the racing seats and my Z06/Z07 has the stock seats. The racing seats are not as comfortable BUT the differences are small.

Still prepping for the Silver State Classic Challenge. Since they put me in "Dumb Class" I took the opportunity to enroll in the ZO6 Driving school at Ron Fellows Racing School. Ride along with me and my instructor on my day 2 orientation lap and you will see just how quick a 2015 Z06 really is...
