I have one, I think I paid a hundred bucks for it. I had it on for 1500 miles. I saw a small film of oil in the catch can.
I took it off.
I have it in the garage.
I twisted the top copper piece a bit too much and the nozzle faces the wrong way now. (faces the battery not the pcv lines...
I like the z51 c6 A6 with the supercharger option. I rarely hear anyone report back ..Never thought of that till you mentioned it.
I am beginning to hear that c6 z06 owners are having issue with the sticking clutch pedal though.
Although I can with dilegent care of the clutch master...
How do these compare with Toyo proxi's ?
Thats what I am thinking of for the 4th set of tires on my car..
That is until I heard your report..
Thanks for the information.
JB
I"m not ever going to drop 100 grand on this new blue devil but hot dam that car if thats what it ends up being...HOLLY CRAP! WOW!

I usually pull the passenger side beauty cover off and the pcv is right there in that little black plastic tube..
Did you remove the beauty cover.? I think its called a FRC or soemthing...
In the Z its red and your car Its probably black. (although 2000 c5's have a slightly different setup...
I think the pcv valve is in different locations on different year corvettes as well as in a different place on an ls6 vs ls1.
Mines in a black plastic tube that runs from the base of the manifold to the throttle body.
My suggestion would be to post over at www.corvettemechanic.com
Those...
That is very tempting..
What a great evolution of the corvette.
436hp in the coupe or convertible...
Thats a very impressive lineup .
That new motor is amazing.
I'm surprised to never having seen a comparision between the M6 and the A6 in the magazines...both on the track and the drag strip.
I'd bet they are more similiar than any of us would have imagined.
As a matter of fact I don't ever remember seeing the rags like c & D or Motor trend or Road...
That 2010 date makes sense as the corvette production could be moving to the old saturn plant around that time.
5 years on the c6 which is an evolution of the c5 is a good run.
c7? geez...hard to imagine what GM could do to improve on the corvette performance at this point...but I am sure...
5 mph is about tops for a air filter..but if I remember correctly thats pretty impressive...
40 hp at speed?
I've read various discussions on the water injestion thing as well as the build quality so keep that in mind..
good luck.
Well until GM figures out a way to get the clutch pedal up and down in the manuals they should put an automatic in the Z...
Too bad about that automatic...I hear the prototype was kicking some serious @ss!
Why does GM not recommend removing the top in the C6 Z06? Because they don't like the...
443 hp 413 lb/ft of torque is what is listed in this months Motor trend for the v8 verison of the cadillac CTS. (comparative listing to new Genesis V8 Sedan article.
I just assumed it would be the same motor as in the C6..
Maybe a slip up on the part of motor trend to leak GM info ?
If your buying a Z06 and just doing bolt ons or keep stock? then in my opinion buy the 02. In hindsight its money well spent.
If your looking to modify the car (heads/cam/headers) then take advantage of the lower priced 2001 model year.
2001 ZO6 224/224 114lsa Cam Pkg 415rwhp 380 rwtq, dual...
I have that problem with the rear wheels hopping on hard acceleration. I read a few threads from Ranger whose like a drag racing expert and from what I've read the wheel hop is normal for a C5.
I seem to be incorrect from what I'm reading in this thread....but again its my understanding wheel...
they had the test mule running around with the A6 and it was rumored to be faster than the Manual.
I agree GM should make this but since they are still holding off....buy a coupe or convertible..
slap a supercharger on it and have a hell of a ride.
Less expensive too..
One day GM will...
fwiw Audi offers the dual clutch sequential shift technology as a 1200 dollar option. Audi also sites that the transmission is still less than a standard automatic transmission.
I sure hope GM picks up the ball on this technology and if its smart it will out source the tranny to borg warner...
I guess when sales slow down GM can decide to go world class with its transmission technology and offer the Z06 with dual clutch sequential shift technology.
I'd pay the 1250 dollars Audi or VW charges for that technology over the 6 speed manual.
Its not always a question of selling all...
510 rwhp equals 600 flywheel hp.
Thank you for that clarification.
Any idea what this beauty costs?(you guessed it! I can't afford it! Im sure its a nice vehicle...for those that have to own it!)
