'bossvette',
The track in Flint was Tri Cities
'IH2LOSE'
The {IH2LOSE} handle is very close to my moto, which is "Winning isn`t everything, It`s the only thing" :D
BTW, i`ll see if I can group the pictures you asked about 'my being up on one wheel stand' series crash with the roadster out...
By the way I believe this gentleman finally recieved his soft top frame so this should close. Thanks for the picture Tom,
Heres the real thing, Walts Puffer ll {me driving} against Ron Sterns in the RJS Reath Automotive Fiat
On some of these Vettes original stops as you open the door and it wont close. Repair the bad spots after taking pictures of those areas or issues so if a question ever comes up, your covered. Then use it. Thats what there for. :D
Since only Kopbet has replied and its been over two weeks without any other suggestions or leads, I would try the company he listed the web site for. They actually make them and are NCRS correct or can be built to satisfy your desire. Plus they are not that heavy.
Since you apparently do not have a very good spring compressor I may suggest this trick. Set the head on some wood and select a large deep socket. Set the socket on the retainer and with a good sized BFH strike the top of the socket. The spring, retainer and keepers should come apart in your...
I believe that you would prefer a 215-65R-15 instead of the 75 series. 75`s would have a wider sidewall. 205`s are too small, like little donuts :D The 215`s fit the wheelwell perfectly and is just wide enough in the tread to not look like a tall skinny tire from the rear :upthumbs
If memory serves me correctly my 63 FI coupe was one of those first year Vettes too just as is my 68 a first year Vette. Seems first year Vettes are junk only if you dont have one. ;LOL
What about the 68 clones that followed for 14 more years. :boogie
Probably not NCRS correct, but a very nice top. More like class to go with the leather interiors :D They appear to be more difficult to install unless by a pro. That being said patience cures that problem.
Hi Stan,
As you can see I like short gears for my drivers. I have two 4.56 pieces, one is the 62 FI Vette and the other is a 68 SS Camaro that I replaced the 396 with a off road 454 LS7 service package engine. I Put the Camaro together just as a lark never dreaming how fast it would be. I got...
Since i`m not interested in driving at speeds of buck fifty plus, my gears range from 4.11 to 4.56 in my Chevy powered pieces starting the with little fuel injection Vette clear up to the L88 powered Vette and 396 L78, 427 L72, and 454 LS7 Camaros and with one extreme of a 5.13 in my A990 Race...
I agree with the other poster and I have sold 100`s of the bronze and the paper filters. Equal performance when both new. Take the rubber line out please. :D
You fellows may not like to hear this but roller rockers is not going to do a damn thing to improve your prtformance. A typical well advertised and hyped bolt on. They are really a racing part. The more expensive the better they are suppost to be. Dont really count on it. They break and fail...
Hi Tom,
Your probably correct on all your talking points but nearly anything under the sun was available from a 3.36-4.56. I would guess that dealer ordered cars for inventory purposes would have followed the advertised recommendations or general purpose gears as opposed to special orders as I...
Well a small consession on your point of view is that all my junks appear to be stock originals. :L That is for all the bench racers and cruise polishers who dream of going fast. :cool
Nope, never put a 327 or a 350 in a 68 Charger, too small. But they do react very well with a 640 ci BB Chevy. How about 10.35 at 135 mph on just motor. :D But it wasn`t fast enough being way to heavy. The car now sports a 540 Hemi and twin turbos making it the 3 rd fastest at the shootout...
