Hmmm.... I don't like the sound of that yet. He currently has the center caps with the real C5 emblem, not a sticker. So I would have to buy blank center caps and then have a company create a sticker? I would think someone out there has already created the C4 logo for these wheels.
Hey guys, I'm looking for a gift for the father-in-law. He just recently bought a set of wheels for his 1990. He went with a set of C5 wheels.
The problem is the center cap has the C5 logo on it. I want to find him a set of C4 logo's to go in the center. Anyone have an idea of where to look...
Some little kid will see you riding in 67Heaven in your Santa suit and think "he traded in his reigndeer power for some real power". But yet you can't get air borne.... or could you?
What did you expect?
That's just the thing, the Prius owner meant to give you a thumbs down, but was so blown away he forgot to turn it upside down;LOL No, I think it is just an impulse to smile and wave or give a :upthumbs or whatever it may be. Brain sees 67Heaven and just stops dead in...
I just received my Mid America Magazine and was flipping through when I found a Throttle Performance Switch for L83's, L98's, LT1's and LT4's. This is on page 57 of the all years book (53 - 06). I was curious if anyone has added this to their Vettes? Has anyone noticed any difference? It doesn't...
You think that is bad? Wait until you have to change out that power brake booster. Thats a real back bender. Better if you can remove the seats, but mine were so rusted I was affraid to take the drivers seat out as I would never get it back on.
Some ideas
Ok, as a new LT1 owner myself I have been having these questions as well. I have found a great resource for Camaro's now at shbox.com. He has been a big help. Here is a picture that may help.
This is the Opti itself
If you go to change the Opti there are a few other things you...
GoodLuck
Greetings and welcome to the CAC. From what you have told us this far here is what I can figure. There were 3,475 Daytona Blue Corvettes in 1963. There were 2,610 Corvettes with the FI option produced. If you remember any other options that could help to narrow it down even more. Such...
YuP, those are the rivets. Just take your time and don't chew through too many bits. I would recommend a drill that plugs into the wall as opposed to a battery powered one. Just imagine, 25 years on the same rotors... Do you think rotors in the new Corvettes will last that long? I replaced...
Yup, if they are the original rotors you have to drill them out. A PIA but it can be done. It does not sound like it is your booster that is wrong, but its hard to say. A way to check would be to have one person hit the brake pedal and another person at the booster listening and feeling for...
Or Booster?
While the Master Cylinder could be the culprit, I would also question the Power Booster. I originally thought I had a MC issue until I noticed that I was blowing air out between the Power Booster and the MC. This told me I had a hole in my diaphragm. Again, this is a fun DIY...
Bob McDorman does have a rather large lot of Corvettes right now. Seems like everday I drive by they get more and more. I'm not sure if Mr. McDorman was planning on putting all those Corvettes in the new showroom building, but I have a feeling they won't all fit.
I need a quick reminder. Do you have true dual exhaust or is it still stock where the exhaust manifold goes into a single Cat and then out to two mufflers? If you do have duals do they connect at any point to each other or are they true duals where each muffler is only carrying four cylinders?
Of course... they coud always just create a car by GM
Not give it any of the Chevy, Pontiac, GMC, or any other badging... just GM.
There are also these two pictures I have found of the Corvette with the badging. Not really noticible. I'll have to see it in person.
Does it make loud sounds? My ears can't handle SPL's at high levels;troll. Or is it one of those new fangled motors that run on peanut oil? Oh please hurry up and open that crate... I want to see :eek and hear it rumble.
700r4
Would anyone happen to have an extra 700R4 sitting around that I could replace my turbo 350 3-speed automatic with? That overdrive sure would be nice for those highway cruises. As far as usage... I've actually been driving the 76 a lot more then I have all summer. My truck is currently...
I demand a recount :mad... I want to see pictures of the engine compartment :confused... But all honesty... I have no idea. Maybe someone can shed some light on this topic.
I don't know wether to :cry or :L or just be :confused. I thought Corvettes were meant to be driven. I guess some people feel they are pieces of art work to be put away and not seen like so many pieces of other art. Oh well.. to each their own.
