allright. just pulled code 31. service manual says "left front out of position". i guess the rear is ok, so far. any ideas on what that means? i gotta say the ride is so much softer now since the system uses "tour" as the default.
i went to go check for some codes tonight and guess what? no paper clips. i gotta steal some from work tomorrow. ill post when i find out what the hell is going on.
it rained here in vegas last night and when it rains you have to real careful. it doesnt rain a lot so all the oil and grease on the road never gets a chance to wash away. to make a long story short let me just say i hopped over a curb/median and severely bent the left side rims. they still hold...
i did new york to vegas, 2600 miles in my old 91 without so much as a hiccup. auto with 3.07's i got about 20 mpg from what i remember. it took three days, 12 hours a day. i would definitly do it again. i had a run in with an older ferrari 308. the best part about that was my dad trying to find...
no. you will need gears made for a dana rear end. im not sure if you have a dana 36 or dana 44, i think it depends if its an auto or stick. but i had to get specific gears for my dana 36. i went from 3.07's to 3.73's and it was just what the doctor ordered.
yeah believe it. the new ones are ford (yuck) explorer chassis with the 6 cylinder. they also have posi! not that i would do nasty burnouts in a government owned vehicle.
been pulled over in NY for not having a front plate. let go. out here in NV a cop saw me make a fast left while trying to beat a yellow light. he "paced" me for about a mile before he turned his lights on. he said he didnt pull me over for the turn because he "knew the car could handle it". he...
just got my car back with the new top and weather stripping. oh my god. its a new car. on the rear deck the top is flush with the body now. it used to sag up top but now its real tight. plus the doors close with with a thump instead of a rattle because of the old hard shrunken weatherstripping.
i have the same problem with my 94 vert. i brought it to my vette guy and he says he tried EVERYTHING but the customers always come back with it starting to separate again. my top started to look kinda crappy anyway so i bought a new one. go with the glass top and depending on how bad your...
theres also a track out in riverhead long island. its less "sanctioned" than englishtown. what i mean is the nhra does not make a stop there and the atmosphere is more laid back. its a helluva lot less busy and it probably has more test n tune nights. its a drive but who the hell wants to go to...
the glass on my convertible top has completely seperated from the fabric on the bottom edge. its only a matter of time before it works its way up and around the rest of the window. i brought it to my corvette guy and he says he's fixed them before but they always come because it never stays. the...
i never got a chance to re-oil the filter because my hesitation problem started about a month after i bought the filter. ac delco filters have worked fine for many years. if you want to open up some breathing cut open your air filter housing lid or buy one from one of the many corvette suppliers.
would you need an ohmmeter to do that? if so no i dont have one. but how expensive could they be. once i get one whats the next step? yes, this problem did appear when the outside temps started dropping.
