    Sirius/XM add-on??

XM Add-On Update Here are a couple pictures of how I jury-rigged in my XM Roady head unit that I swap out when I ride the Harley Ultra Classic. The antenna is attached to the trunk lid with dbl-sided tape. You see there must be 3-4 inches of slack after a ran the cable under the trunk...

    Sirius/XM add-on??

Can anyone tell me if the Delco/Bose radio with the tape player and 12 disk CD changer that comes in a 2002 C5 is capable of having the (GM version) of an installed Sirius/XM radio module installed as part of the "AUX" button on the head unit? My 2003 Cadillac DTS could be upgraded as was my...

    RIP - Nutmegbronze

I know Bud. I wish I had the room for both. I traded it as selling private has been very difficult and every time I put it in the paper I was inundated with brokers trying to get me to send them ridiculous money for them to sell to "all their waiting customers"; which of course is a boat load...

Thanks Rob! Been too long my old friend. We need to catch up one day. Dale.... poured for two days after I bought Patti a her Lexus too. Yeah, I got blamed for that. Bill.... will make the Carlisle run a lot more comfortable and economical. Bob.... Jody sent me a Facebook blurp and told me...

    RIP - Nutmegbronze

To all my L81 registry pals, I have to sadly admit that the special primer 1981 was upgraded to a 2002 Torch Red 6-spd Convertible. The old '81 served me well and for many, many years of trouble free driving joy. But time and wear started to take its toll and it was time to upgrade especially...

    Power door locks

Hey Chuck... at least you can get one side to open/close. Both my driver and passenger switches will lock the doors but neither will open them. It's an electrical PITA. I've monkeyed with them for years and just gave up. Probably a short somewhere within the wiring but danged if I can find it...

    Question: Carb Secondary

Hib.... on a slightly different carb topic; my stock carb on my '81 does not "howl" like the Q-jet that was on my '72. Is this typical for this carb or are my secondary's not opening fully? Carb seems to be operating fine, no hesitation, flat spots or bogging down. But I do miss that howl when...

    heater solenoid leaking?

The C&C kit was already installed when my buddy (the first owner) bought the car in Tucson, AZ in late '81. He knew it was a C&C kit because the Chevy dealer he bought it from told him they did it as a dealer option. The pull cord wire has stretched over the years and the window does not open...

    heater solenoid leaking?

    heater solenoid leaking?

Hey Gerry.... Alive and retired early to enjoy some life before the big defense machine finally broke me. hahaha Yes, still have the '81 albeit she doesn't get driven near enough. But at least I can say I've driven her more than Bud has Rare. hahaha You know how it goes..... the more they sit...

    heater solenoid leaking?

Has anybody ever seen the heater soleniod valve assembly leak? Not the hoses attached to it; but rather between the circular membrane device and the block it is attached to. Anyone ever have to replace one of these? If so, where did you find one; or are they common enough to have been used on...

    My L81

Dan..... very nice. I haven't seen Cinnabar cloth like that in a LONG time. Mine finally wore out and just replaced it with the Cinnabar leather. You'll get a lot of comments about the "orange" carpet. The Cinnabar leather is the same color as the door skins. Enjoy............... nut
