I GOT RID OF THE BUM , FOUND AN EXCELLENT MECHANIC WITH GREAT PRICES, HAD MY STARTER REPLACED, SPEEDO FIXED, TRANNY LEAK FIXED, AND HEATER/AC BLOWER FIXED $ 505.00 PARTS AND LABOR, NOT BAD COMPARED TO THE BUM THAT RIPPED ME OFF!!

IT HAS BEEN ALMOST 3 WEEKS WITH NO PROBLEM, HAS A NICE FAST START COMPARED TO THE CHEAP JAP STARTERS!! Ac/Delco starter should have one part # for a 81 right? i don't know what my mechanic used for a part #

So your telling me the the pinging speedo is because of the cruise control? The unit looks fairly new too, are you sure about this, a friend told me maybe the plastic piece in the tranny?

Here is my question, when the tail lights are lit how many are there , i get one on each end, also how many are on when the brakes applied, i know the reverse ones are the inner ones , but are they used also for reg running lights it seems stupid just to have one on each end for running lights...

Hi, when i got my 1981 6 months ago my right indicater inside did not blink but the tail light and front worked, this was happening for awhile , i think 3 weeks ago it started to work correctly and i forgot about it, my car was sitting for along time and maybe the wiring was screwy!!
