I am no expert but the EGR is important and really don't effect performance . If it were mine I would try to find out if the chip disabled the EGR if it does I would get a diff chip that doesn't disable it . I would think even a used factory chip would be better than not having the EGR work ...
I need to replace the EGR valve on my 90. I have had the plenum off before and found it really difficult to keep the gaskets in place because of the tight fit. Seems as though the runners are warp a little. Did I do something wrong or is there a trick to getting it in between the runners. Thank...
could be plugged cats. put a vacuum gauge on it and watch it , if it drops as it warms up it is very possible that cats are plugged . Vacuum could drop to near zero.
I will be looking at the same problem with my 90 in the next week or two , is fine going down the road but at slow speeds it over heats quite quickly . I have a manual switch for the fans so I can kick them both in at any time. They run so time to look up between the condenser and radiator.
I think he saw the price . when they first came out I didn't like them as well as previous models
but they really grew on me to the point I like them better than the C3

at the time I bought a cable for the OBDI . I...
I think those have a MAF sensor , make sure that is in place and connected, I have run into start but not run if that isn't right. A big air leak after the MAF can make them act really strange.
I have never owned an opti spark but have found that a good battery is critical with todays electronics. Just something to consider. I assume the gas is not old.
the electrical/electronics would be the big concern.Going to need a lot of rubber parts , If I was 10 yrs younger I would check into it. I have my own that needs some work now and at 72 it takes awhile . LOL
