    New Engine For The C6???

Vette probably won't get Northstar I was recently reading an article that outlined GM's plans for Cadillac. In it, Bob Lutz said the plan is to get Cadillac back in the race by making them unique cars with unique platforms and engines. He specifically implied that no other GM brands would be...

    Dilema - Keep 88 or buy 82

I would keep the '88 You have a beautiful car now, and I would not mess with that. The '82 sound gorgeous, but I think that if you really wanted a late C3, you would have bought one ten months ago. I dunno, but you probably feel a little bit pressured to make a decision relatively quick...

Woo Hoo I Did See The C6 Butt..

Article now on CAC For those who missed the article linked above, Viper 10 has the text under the "Lastest C6 Info. Camless Eng??? " thread. Looks like most of you have already figured that much out though. Greg

    C6 insight from XLR article

The September 2002 Car and Driver issue has a preview article on the Cadillac XLR, which is to essentially share a chassis (and manufacturing plant in Bowling Green) with the C6. To me, this is what the article may tell us about the C6: 1. Still the basic control-arm and transverse-leaf-spring...

    Lastest C6 Info. Camless Eng???

Now the site is suspended I've tried to re-open that link for a friend, and now the site is suspended!!! Unbelievable luck. I don't know what that means. For those of you who did not get a chance to read it, the key points were: 1. Exterior should include exposed headlights, more C3-type...

    Lastest C6 Info. Camless Eng???

I just now got to read that article. Wow. I hope they'll be able to keep costs under control. Greg

    What Color on the C6

I think they missed their chance for white with red interior this year for the 50th. I would not mind seeing some patriotic-racer looking thing (kinda like the 1968/9 cars we occasionally see pictures of) for the first roadster c6. I'll bet they just do red. Greg

    Fuel additive

Results I put 2 bottles of Techron into 15 gallons of gas. After driving only a few miles, the problem was alleviated. It has not come back for the duration of the tank of fuel. I am extremely happy with the results. Thanks again to all for the advice. Greg

    Road and Track on C6

Most of the articles discussing the C6 mention the goal of keeping the price under control. They are talking about making the interior better, and I'm not sure what that'll cost or what they'll charge. It should be a little cheaper (and lighter) to use exposed headlights, and it also appears...

    Road and Track on C6

I'm still confident, possibly out of shear ignorance, that the C6 will GROW to be a near-perfect car. This image looks alot like that non-descript thing out of the last issue of Car & Driver. I rather like the things that I hear about the C6 and its development, and I take the artist's...

    Fuel additive

results pending... I decided to go with the Techron additive yesterday, using maybe just a bit more than recommended on the bottle. Thanks to everyone for the help, I'll let you all know what happens. Greg

    Fuel additive

My car now has an occasional engine miss/"skip". It is usually precipitated by putting excessive load on the engine (especially when the evil "1 to 4" shift is induced). There are no check engine/LED indicators in the car that anything is wrong. I wasted $30 at the dealership and they came up...

    Clutch questions

Thanks That sounds pretty reasonable. Is the first gear synchronizer that rattle-type sound after a start in first gear? I've heard that on so many Vettes (including my friend's old ZR-1) that I haven't paid attention to it. Was the $500-$600 approximation on clutch price total (that's...

    Clutch questions

I now have a 1998 6-speed coupe with 41,000 miles on it. I have put about 1,500 miles on the car myself, the rest was from the previous owner. During my brief ownership of the car, I have noticed a couple of things that concern me. My questions are: 1. At about 1,400 RPM, there is a squeal...

    Structural integrity

This won't be too helpful. I've seen some C4's with reinforcement bars going behind the seats. I don't know what it attatches to, or who makes it. The stuff is out there, though, and I'll start looking.

    Seatbacks on 1998 Coupe

This shouldn't be too tough of a question. I'm looking at that 1998 coupe still and just realized something while going through the list. The seatbacks don't seem to lock. They will not go backward, but they will lean foreward (both left and right) without the use of a lever. Is this normal...

    Questions on 1998 coupe

Thanks to everyone for the help. Karl- Thanks for the reply. Is the air speed coming from the ducts supposed to be fairly slow. Do you think that I should expect it to be as fast as other GM cars? -Greg

    Questions on 1998 coupe

Sounds good... What is the HVAC system? I guess I'm clueless on the acronyms. Thanks. -Greg :confused

    Questions on 1998 coupe

I have almost bought a car, finally. The car in question is a 1998 Coupe with 40,000 miles. I have run the car through the CAC checklist and only have two concerns: 1. The sticker with the RPO's that is in the glovebox has been removed. The current owner has had the car since 7/99 and does...
