I don't think that I am mistaken when I say that the CTS-V is getting an LS6 engine. This is not the next generation Vette engine, rather it is a current Z06 engine.

I don't go over there too much any more, so I'm not too sure. In their defence, it seems like there is a paucity of information on the C6 in general. It doesn't seem like there is good info anywhere. I'm certainly envious of those who have actually seen the preproduction cars.

Somatics "50 years of production" is one thing. I really do think that there is a point to be found somewhere in that argument. An anniversary, which is what the car says on its emblem, is another thing. 2003 is the 50th anniversary of something that began in 1953 by any definition that...

Brett.. So, should the 2004 model year be the 50th "anniversary" of a car that debuted in '53 using that logic? I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

The term "anniversary" has nothing to do with the number of model years that a car has been in production. You can have anniversaries of cars that have not been in production for decades, like the Model T, the "Tucker," whatever. We don't say that Buick, Ford, Cadillac, etc are not celebrating...

Here is a link to Pontiac's page that has a 360 view of the 2004 Grand Prix interior. If they make the steering wheel look good and take all of the buttons off of it, it could be pretty nice. The seats certainly look likey they're pretty nice...

Everything, and I mean everything, is pointing toward the C6 being introduced at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January, 2003. Not Las Vegas, not LA, not New York, not Chicago.

The "round-about way" theory is probably true. My $.02 is that the styling will be a mix of the Chevy SS, the Pontiac Solstice and the Caddy Cien. The SS is the sexiest one of the bunch IMHO, and I hope to see a lot of similarity between it and the C6. I would like a nicer front end, though...

Any idea what caused the delay? Will the delay carry over to the C6?

That'll be fine. The dealers around here will start off way over list for the '05's. Some (many) folks will actually buy them at marked-up prices, so they can have the first ones in town. I will not be in their ranks. The I cannot see spending over list for an expensive car that I already...
