Idle I just put a new motor in mine and it would not idle.I unplugged knock sensor and it idles now;shrug

:W Would i be better off just to put carb on it.I have new cam in it also,more compression with aluminum heads.I have replaced a bunch of sensors,rebuilt injectors and still will die in a minute or so.Also makes labor knocking noise before it dies.What would you do?Replace with Quadrajet?:confused

Fuel pump I bought fuel pump off Ebay.No instructions included.I think you are right about ground to tube,i just wanted to make sure it was not backwards in some kind of way:W

I am trying to put 85 fuel pump in my 84.Wires are color coded black and white for 85 but 84 are both black.Can anyone tell me to hook up wires right without burning pump up.Any help is appreciated;shrug

I put new injectors in new motor in my 84.Wiring has tricked me up somewhat but it cranks,runs about a minute and dies.When its running if you try to accelerate it sounds lazy.I have not found knock sensor wire yet.Between knock sensor,fuel pump and some kind of sensor issue i am pulling hair...
