Herb like to keep his killer job a secrect,
I have heard he answers to the name of Fred Garvin at his place of work
(just dont let him around your wife)
Bob Me personally would run them parallel with flow check valves,
Terrible you have to do this with a fuel pump, But if the life cycle of this pump is this short (12,000 miles) then this would be a good way to assure no more rides home on the flatbed
No secret
you could actually just tap it out with a screw driver
Might want to just give a light tap to each of the tabs to try and loosen it and then just try the too again.
All of the tools I have seen dont really allow you to push down a little then spin as when you push on the too it...
I hope I can explain this correct
When you say high RPMS the pump only gets you towards higher rpms when you hit the gas.
Once your at high rpms and you have a miss, its not from the pump. The pump is only used to get you toward higher rpms.
Once you have flow thru the carb (air) then the...
I am so sorry your having troubles, I eliminated there air cleaner as I had a clearance problem and I did not like the top lid. I had problems with the machining on the bajo fittings that delayed me installing the tri power in time for Carlilse. I am thrilled with the set up.
I may order some...
I would sasy herbs prices are on the money with the exception of the seat. I sold the seats out of my 62 for 1200.00 at a swap meet. they were completely rusted and worthless I thought.
I have seen used seats selling (or I should say purchased) for around 1600 to 1800 for sets needing some...
I never did any frame strengthening to my 66 so I cant answer it directly, But back in the 80's I had a big block mustang ( uni body) that if i had slicks on it would get all twisted up. I made frame connectors and a monte carlo bar that used to keep things in order.
My 66 has a real strong...
Herb
It has a real nice stance to it, I would not change it too much, when I was setting the stance on my car I was trying to keep it low and have equal distance between the fender wells and the tires and still having a slight rake between the front and rear . I always like a car that sat a...
hey last thing
there is a cam that activates an arm that presses on the pump
is the cam worn or a wrong cam
is the arm bent make sure the arm is up against the cam then move the throttle and make sure the arm is riding on the cam while your seeing what the clearance is on the pump I...
Same symptoms
I share what I know of the pumps need
at idle the car uses the idle circuit.
once your off the idle circuit and the throttle plates are open if the motor does not have enough vacuum there is no way for the gas to get into the motor
the pump gives a quick squirt till the...
Bob
I am now using areo quip only. there newley designed fitting pulls into the hose. A costly mistake for me was getting differant manufacturere componets. And then having orphaned fittings
Hows that tri power working out
Filter on the suction side or the positive side of the pump,if on the suction side it just may be time to change it and when the pump is running its pulling the stuff into the filter, straining the pump, pump going off on thermal over load realising the stuff. pump cools down enough to start...
Bob
I would think every electric motor has an internal thermal overload that once it cools down it will reset, or does it just go on and off for no particular reason. Could just be a poor quaility product last may have a loose wire on the windings
Are you guys in freezing weather yet or...
Well how aggressive do you want to get with a system? Are you OK with some additional holes in the car?
The new alarms can be pretty simple or out of control complex.
The tracker style system I feel is a no brainier as it runs off the car battery, then has its own optional stand by battery...
I had a cover on my 2002 convert that was kept inside . I think it was a wolf purchased from Corvette Central , one of the problems with the cover was it had this fabric on the inside to protect the car. And this fabrix would stay on the canvas top that I would have to clean the top off with a...
