Hi! Rich
Welcome to the 63 club! The dimple points toward the plug wire contact.
Pictures of your 63 would be very welcome. You can check out the restoration of my 63 at: http://rayscorvette.com/
Hi! Gary
The WCFB (Will Carter Four Barrel) was used into 1965 in the Corvette. The 65 250HP had a WCFB. I believe the optional engines used the AFB (Aluminum Four Barrel) engine and then the Holley. The 63 300hp & 340HP used the same carburetor with different jets.

"Quick Update"
Engine idles!
Dumb me! shims the distributor like I have done on others except I phase the dimple on the shaft gear 180* in the wrong direction. After changing the shaft gear and setting the distributor to it's correct setting the engine fired and idled great.
On to the...
When I had my 63 340 solid lifter engine rebuilt, the builder told me to make sure to use the additive or diesel oil. The cam vendors are providing this information to their clients. There has also been numerous post on the NCRS web site in reference to the correct oil to use to protect cams...
After a year plus of work, the 63 340HP SWC came alive this evening. Other than an exhaust leak, fuel line leak form the filter to the carburetor and it will not idle under 1500 RPMs every thing went very well.
Now to figure out why it will not idle.
I will try to post a few pictures with in...
Hi! John
The quality of your work is just fantastic ! I hope to view your work up-close and get a chance to meet you one of these days.
For those of you that have not dealt with John, he loaned me one of his tools for crimping the rivets on the solid axle rebound straps for just the cost of...
Update:
Quick Update: the intake was received yesterday from the restoration shop and it looks great! Camaro Hi-Performance did a great job. I hope to have it installed and the engine running by next week.
I have the car sanded and have started to buff out the finish. It was well worth the...
I am an owner of a C-1 and C-2 and I am in need of advice about part houses for a 1979 L-82. A friend just called me this evening and told me he just purchased a 1979 L-82 and ask what would be the best source for reproduction parts. What is the C-3 owners vendor choice for C-3 parts?
Thanks...

Thanks for the heads up on the top! I did the top on the 65 and had the same type of problem. The 65 top was real tight and even pulled a few threads loose where the the top meets the doors.(next to the window).

Thanks to all for the compliments on the 63. This has been the hardest of the three restoration projects that I have worked on. With this project you take one step forward and two steps back. I am looking forward to the first test drive or after break-in drive. It seemed like the 65 327hp 250hp...
Hi! Larry
It is getting impossible to find a good solid axle project car at a fair price, it seems like the investors are driving the prices way up. I guess I will clean up the tools and put them away and just enjoy the cars I have. I still need to complete the 63 and work the bugs out. I have...
It's Painted!
The 63 was re-painted today. A week of drying and it will be ready to wet sand and buff out!
The intake has been repaired and re-skinned. I will post some pictures as soon as it arrives.

When I returned from Viet Nam in the early 70's I purchased a 1965 300HP Red on Red. I believe it would be hard to confirm the amount of the dual red combinations built because you see so many black with red interior and white with red interior and I believe the Black Book only list the amount...
