    165 degree T-stat OK?

There is nothing wrong with using a 165 stat; if you live in an area that the temp is high year round. I'm an old school guy; the rule has always been Fords run their best at around 145 degrees. Chevy SB's Run their best at 185-195 degrees. All this means is to get the best from your motor...

    1976 corvette brakes

Replace all the rubber flex lines.. Not only can they leak they can suck air back into the system. Another problem they cuase is collasping inside and locking pressure on that caliber. If you haven't replaced them DO IT. They don't cost much and can solve a lot of different problems. Gary

    Smaller tires on the front?

I'm running 255's on the rear and 245's on the front. it just worked out that way becuase I got a buy on the 245's when I had to replace the rears. Didn't want smaller on the rear, so put them up front. It has worked just fine for me and I like having the front down just a little. Gary SAVE the...

    Attention all yellow vette owners

I'll have to look to find the paint code. I had it repainted '78 Corvette Yellow. I think the code was 95 or 97. It not the pale yellow that a lot of the C3 vettes are. I have more pics I can E-mail. Gary

    1981 Corvettes are slow.

Hib, As you can tell from my replies I had one of those Cal. 305's and was very happy with it. I'd still have, but for some SUV took the frontend off it. It was the best daily driver I ever had. Some didn't like them and others talk them down; but I'd take another anytime. Gary

    1981 Corvettes are slow.

Maybe it's the driver or just a bad motor; My 80 305 would do 0-60 in 6.5. Gary
