    OK, here's what I got......It shows a "list 1850-1, and 0617 underneath it. Evidently it's not original for this car. Can someone tell me what I have cfm, etc......and also where I can find a rebuild kit for it. The previous owner never had the manual choke hooked up.....What should I do...

    Setting Valve Lash on LT-1 cam

    Hey guys, I finished most of the motor job on my 327/365hp. I just wanted to make sure I followed the procedure correctly for setting these cold. I followed it exactly, I'm sure the firing order(1,8,4,3,6,5,7,2) is correct, but I look in the AIM and they have the firing order (1,8,4,6,3,5,7,2)...

    John...again thanks. Actually I think I'll just leave them the way they are.....like I said, they look great..I just wasn't sure if folks were painting them or what. Never-the-less, I bookmarked that site for future projects.

    Well, I ordered the cam and lifters from O'Reilly's auto parts using the GM #'s you specified (LT-1 cam). It come to a total of $189. I plan on installing this weekend using John's procedure.......Man, I hope it works...not that I would ever doubt John's expertise, it's just I've never set solid...

    steel wheel help

    Thats great, I never tried them (haven't gotten that far yet) I just assumed. I'll just have to blast them and paint them black, due to the outer edge of the wheel showing. Thanks again John

    Sorry, nevermind....had to read the procedure one more time......I can set all the intakes at TDC, but I need to set the exhaust at 90 BTDC.....Thanks again.

    OK John, so for example, to start with, I set the #1 TDC and set the #8 exhaust at .026 and the #2 intake at .020. and continue at 90 deg turns.....? Or start at 90 deg before #1 TDC? Please be patient with me, for this is my first stab at setting these cold.

    Thanks John, I wasn't sure if it was or not. Also if thats the case where does the second hose from the heater core connect to....I know this is simple, but I've never dealt with a pump with a bypass system. Thanks again for the help
