    Run Flat Tires

It might be online someplace, but I wouldn't know where. I would think that any Discount Tire store will have the lists. Google may lead you someplace. Seems you can find out anything about anything with Google.

    Run Flat Tires

I saw two lists recently at Discount Tire. One was of EMT tire brands that can be repaired, the other was of EMT tire brands that cannot be repaired. Kumho was on the list of those that cannot be repaired. When buying new EMT's everyone might want to check the lists if you are interested in...

    Cheers to Discount Tire

Last Sunday I was returning from a nice drive into the mountains west of Denver when I noticed the air pressure in the left rear was lower than normal. When I stopped to put air in it, I immediately saw the problem -- a 1" screw was in the tire, just inside the sidewall, meaning it couldn't be...

In Praise of a Dealership Service Department

This is to praise a dealer's service department. Medved Chevrolet in Wheat Ridge, CO (Denver) has seen six corvettes owned by me over the past several years, and I am happy and proud to report that I have never been disappointed or unhappy about their responsiveness, service, understanding, and...

    I WRECKED MY ZO6

In the Denver area recently there was an accident in which two people were killed, caused by a road rager who pulled in front of a driver and hit his brakes. The driver who was cut off lost control when he braked and swerved to miss the road rager, crossed the median, and ran into another...

    I need your advice

I had them on a '98, painted to match, and I think they looked great. They helped a lot to protect the finish behind the wheels. Mid America has the Altec molded and painted fender guards, which is what I put on my car.

    Good deal on GMPP Warranty

I bought a 60/100 (100,000 miles on the odometer) $0 deductible from Warranty Direct (with nearly the same coverage as Major Guard) for about $1600. GM lists a 48/72 for $2375, and a 60/75 for $3205. Not sure GMPP is the best deal. Mine is a 2004 with 33,000 miles.

    Corvette After Market Warranty

Also saw posts on Corvette Forum that 1SourceWarranty is being reviewed by state of Hawaii and it sounded as though assets were frozen and claims could not be paid.

    Corvette After Market Warranty

Warranty Direct requires that you have < 60,000 miles on the odometer.

    Denver to Albuquerque

My girlfriend found a '96 LT4 that she wanted to buy, so Sunday I drove her down to Albuquerque to get it. She also has a '65, but she wanted the '96 to autocross, and something to drive more frequently than the '65. What a great drive back to Denver. Weather was perfect, light traffic, and no...

    Gear ratio in '96

Thanks. This LT4 is going to be used for NCCC sanctioned autocrossing, so it sounds like a good setup.

    Gear ratio in '96

I am looking at a '96 LT4, and the current owner has put 4:10 gears in. What is the factory-installed ratio? What is the advantage of 4:10 gears over the factory gears? TIA

Looking for someone to inspect a '96 in Albuquerque

There is a '96 in Albuquerque (far west side) that I am interested in, and am looking for someone to take a look at it. TIA

    steering lock

Column lock bypass is best solution The column lock solution from GM does not fix it in every case. I believe the automatics will be fixed, but the 6-speeds aren't. The "fix" for the 6-speeds is to inhibit the gas flow so that the car won't run if the lock doesn't disengage, but it doesn't...
