LT-4 for sale
Welcome !!
I have a torch red/black interior for sale.I am in Houston, Tx. though.
She has stainless longtube headers, stainless pipes and stainless corsa exhaust.
Hope that helps.

Well, the Dynojet folks calculated 18% loss, whereas I'd always heard 15%, so I contacted 3 other Dyno operaters, and they ALL said 18% is accurate....there is a lot of drivetrain in an LT-4.
Just my $0.02
LMAO,the sooner the better.Reconnect the connector to the ECM,re-wrap the power lead ,and thank God you didn't spend any more money on a cheap spark advance.Hypertech should be ashamed.
fwiw, I got the mid-america Z-06 repros for around a grand, and have 3.15's on the rear(Goodyear Eagle F-1 GSD3), they stick out a hair, but look awesome from the rear.....and handle good too.Fronts are std GY F-1 GSD3's.
Food for thought.
Looking at my dyno graph, the torque at 2300 rpm is well over 300 ft/lb, and stays remarkably flat through 5300 rpm--where it meets the HP curve (which is now flat till rev limiter).
Greg
Yeah, the crank HP gain is around 13 , the torque is the real difference.LT-4's breathe really well as is......the long tubes are the foundation for further work ("hot cam" and larger TB).Plus they are real beauties.
Greg
I recommend doing the header mod.My LT-4 is exactly the same (K&N, Corsa) and dyno'd 300 rwhp before the TPi long tubes were installed.
Post installation was 311 rwhp, and 318 torque, the torque curve is incredibly flat.
Noise is unchanged untill you really stand on it--when the car gets up...
I've never been to the track (gotta get to Houston Raceway Park some Fri. nite), but impromptu drags nearby have given me my quickest passes with ASR OFF,feather clutch @ 2200 r.p.m, and shifting @ 6K......hitting traps in 3rd gear just as rev limiter cuts in.Just my $0.02
Yes, and Yes....I GOTTA paint the calipers now...It really opens up the entire wheel, I had chromed factory sawblades B4, but the Z06's are a beautiful compliment.I kept 17X9.5" all around, I wanted 10 or 11" rears (for the 315's) but would have to go to an 18" rear. But I love them...gotta get...
Good numbers redvette...I am gonna do the 52 mm BBK throttle body next week or so...anyone know what the stock throttle body flows? I'm guessing around 650 cfm.byw got Z-06 repro wheels Friday, and they look GREAT on the coupe!!!
Keep on modding.
Good results to report on Michelin Pilot Sports as well, have them on the Porsche and they are a good second place to the Eagle F1's, which I have to add are GREAT in the rain...(Houston has it's share), and are scary sticky on the dry.
The guys @G-Force suggest that the LT-4's should be corrected to 18% power loss.....owing to the manual tranny, and the half-shafts....they really leech horsepower.Just a thought
Just replaced my rear tires a month ago, for some strange reason they wear faster than the fronts......LOL, I upscaled to 315/35ZR17 Eagle F1 GSD3's, they are the best tire I've ever driven. The fronts are still like new.
LMAO, he's got a 80% scholarship, but he couldn't pick a public school,so Dad gets the balance.
Seriously Edmond, the LT-4's numbers aren't affected much by the headers, but I can sure feel the difference.Next up, hot cam, ported .202/.167 heads an a bigger TB...................
