I just bought an 03 C5Z. It seems like the biggest deal to check on or worry about is the steering column lock. If it's original and fails, you're stuck where you are. Even with the recall, you can still have a problem: the column won't lock again but if the system fails, the fuel get cut off...
I have a tear in the side bolster of the driver's seat back. Anybody have one laying around they'd like to part with? Must be black and Z06 logo. PM me.
Thanks, John

Well, this car will run up to the redline with no problem. The SES light usually comes on at about 2000 rpm just cruising along in 5th. Battery is fairly new and reads 14.1V.

I could use some help with ideas why my SES light keeps coming on. The car received a new water pump and distributor cap/rotor, and new plugs about a year ago. The car has 40K on it and is stock. Ever since, the SES light will come on, usually after the car has sat for a few days. The light...

This morning the Check Engine light came on in my 96 LT4. While it was still running, I plugged in my code reader and got a 303. A little later, after shutting it off, plugging in the reader, and restarting it, I got 300. I've had this going on for a while, but its always been 300 (random...
I got the code reader from ebay. As luck would have it, the light was on this morning. It reads 0300 which is random/multiple cylinder misfire detected. OK, now what to look for?
Thanks, JCS44
In the past, I've taken it to a Vette Shop several hours after the flashing light has gone steady. I've done this 2-3 times and by the time I get there, there's no code. I'll try the Autozone idea as I drive right by one on the way to work. This has always happened first thing in the morning...
