Here is a picture from the AIM (Assembly manual). There more detailed pictures of the different door components if you need them. If you are doing much work on the '59 you really need the AIM.
Here is some information if you want to tackle the job yourself.
Wiper Transmission Repair
Otherwise Corvette Central and other suppliers offer a rebuild service.
Chuck:
I was a member of the Carolinas Chapter and I am sorry about your bad experience with the short lived chapter. I am not exactly sure why the chapter closed, but we had only about 25 members and they were spread out over too wide an area to facilitate having a meeting or event that was...
Here is a picture of an Autometer Tach in a '59 gauge pod. Gauges in this picture are mounted from the rear. I ended up mounting the gauges from the front because of interference at the rear of the fuel gauge. Should be no problem with just the tach.
I did this conversion about 12 years ago. I found an Autometer electric tachometer (sorry but I don't remember the model number) on ebay and installed the "guts" in the original '62 tachometer case, used the original face plate and needle. Total cost about $25.
Two things you want to be sure...
Don't know if you want to go to the trouble, but when I replaced the gauges I wired the complete pod with weatherpack connectors so I could easily remove the entire pod without having to disconnect any of the wires connected to the gauges or pull the lights out of their sockets. The only...
Gauges
You can add Autometer gauges to the pod pretty easily, probably sell the old gauges for about what the new ones would cost. Below is a picture of the white faced Autometer gauges in my '59.
At Carlisle in 2010 I spoke to a vendor that had complete reproduction C1 windshields for sale. All I can remember is that all the parts (posts, stainless trim, etc.) were made in China and the complete unit that was on display looked pretty good. I seem to remember that the cost for a...

The holes in the EMP thermostat were drilled in the center section. When I went back to the original thermostat I drilled the holes in the mounting flange, similar to yours except I only drilled two smaller ones. So far it seems to be working fine. My temperature will run between 190...
Yes, I have air and power steering. My air intake is from the two round openings beside the radiator. Never had it overheat except one summer day when a wire came off the fan relay.
I took the car for a long drive with the new 180 deg. EMP Stewart thermostat installed and I noticed right away that it was taking a lot longer for the temperature gauge to start climbing. After driving for almost one half hour my scanning software indicated that the maximum temperature...
I have had an aluminum radiator in Carol's 62 (also with Ram Jet 350) for almost 10 years. When it warms up it has always had a temp fluctuation. It will go up to about 210° then (I assume) when the thermostat opens it will drop to about 160°. It will do this about 4 times until the temp...
Carol and I are doing well, but we will not make the Myrtle Beach show.
Have you experienced any unusual temperature fluctuations on your Ram Jet 350? If so, you may want to take a look at this (long) post and fix it while you are working on your cooling system. Ramjet 350 coolant bypass -...
Andy:
I have an old Akai reel to reel tape recorder that can record on 8 track tapes. Haven't used it in quite a while, but it did work a few years ago.
What's the story on your Vietnam Veteran's club patch. Is that a real club or something you just created for an avatar? If the Vietnam...
