I just pulled the half shafts on my 80. There were 2 different bolts holding the straps on. One size was 5/16 6 point and the others were 1/4 inch 12 point. I'm pretty sure the same bolts are used on the drive shaft.

Trying to decide between ZZ4 and YearOne 400hp 355 crate engine for my 1980. I know from others' experiences that the ZZ4 will fit under my stock hood. I believe the YearOne won't fit. Has anyone here put the YearOne engine in a 1980-82? Does it fit with a drop-base air cleaner?

I'm pretty sure Edelbrock PN 3701 is the same Performer intake manifold as 2101 with EGR. And, I've read that it will fit under an L48 hood. I haven't tried it myself, but I've been shopping around too and that's what I've found out.
